Review: Holes is a fun book that teaches the reader some powerful lessons. Stanley learns that you can't tell how smart someone is until you get to know them. Zero learns that he has something to offer the world and has a reason to look forward to the future. They both learn that they can influence what happens to them regardless of what others try to do to keep them down. We all learn that we have to trust our instincts and try to find a way to do the right thing.

Review: Holes is a good book for me. I like how it was a story in a story in a story because it didn't stick on one person's life and make it boring. Louis Sachar went from one life to another and he made it exciting. Louis the author put fun sayings and details into the book. He made one character's name a palindrome. There wasn't much I didn't like except he left me hanging at the end. The fun quotes were like your "head is as empty as a flower pot."

Review: Holes is a good book this book had some good and bad points in it. One good thing is that it is sort of like a mystery. Also the book lets you think on how something is going to happen. Somtimes the book can be exiting and also it can also drag. The book can hit a high point in a story and then drop and let you hang.Some of the bad points are the book is keeping me handing and guesing and i don't like to wait. I like to know the answers right away. Otherwise i like the book. I hope Sachar one day gives us the answers.

Review: Holes is a good book though a bit confusing to get into at first, there are two stories taking place, one about the boy who is sent to dig holes and the other about a lady quite a few years back. It's exciting and different.
