Summary: Holes
Review: When I read this book I thought it would be different. I wasn't sure what to expect. However, it was one of the best books I have ever read. It's about a boy who goes to a camp because he's been bad. The people at this camp make you dig a hole (a very big and deep hole) in the scorching hot sun and then he realizes there's a secert about this camp. A big secert!

Review: When I recommend a book to friends, I usually make brief comments. For example, when I encourage friends to read the Harry Potter books, I simply say that they're "great fun." When I encourage friends to read Tomie dePaola's "26 Fairmount Avenue" series, I say that the stories express a young boy's "joy of life." But, what to say about HOLES! It's a strange, well-written story. Is it moralistic? Is there a message? It's certainly compelling and thought-provoking. It's a book for adults as much as it is a book for children. Yet, I'm still a bit baffled by the story. Enough said? Too much said? Nevertheless, a highly recommended read.

Summary: This book will blow you away!
Review: When I started reading this book I didn't think it would be good. But than it just opened up to me. I couldn't put it down. I'd be getting my clarinet ready when it just pulled me over and I finished the book! It was amazing how it just took over my mind. I'd get home, do my homwork and (this is not very common) I'd READ! This book is amazing!

Summary: Holes, Digging in...
Review: When it comes to a book like Holes I dont even know where to start. I could start with the exciting plots, twists in the story, or maybe even the fabulous ending. Not only did Holes keep my attention through the 2 days it took me to read it, and trust me that is a big accomplishment in my reading carreer, but it also dragged me into to the vividly described settings. I came to care about each of the main characters, and hate all of the not so lovable ones. What color is Zero's hair, and why is his name Zero? I can answer any question thrown out there, and all because the author took the time to include all the details that helped make it a great story. Plus, as all great books should, I spent my time reading it traveling through a desert, digging holes with blistered hands, and sleeping in a cot that who knows sweated in! With great care the author was able to slyly switch between plots, characters, and storylines, while all the while maintaining some truth, and the same amount of exicting as the other set! Holes was a book that shouldn't be missed, and after you read it, you'll be back again diggin' them holes 'til the book is done!

Summary: Mom to Mom
Review: When my 5th grade daughter wouldn't stop bugging me about reading this book I decided to order it. I didn't have time to read it so I gave it to my 4th grade daughter to read. Well, for a whole summer I had both of the girls on my back about this goofy sounding book "holes". I broke down this week and read the whole thing. I have to admit, I really liked it. I wish we would have had a book like this when I was going to school in the 70's and 80's. Maybe then I would have read more. I think my girls and I will remember this book for a long time. You never quite look at a shovel or onion's the same way anymore! :)

Summary: GREAT BOOK
Review: When my mom bought this book she said that some people LOVED it and that some people HATED it. So starting off I was a little skeptical, but I started and COULD NOT stop. I loved it SOOO much. I was up 'til 2:30 in the morning just to finish it. Then I was mad I had read it so fast because I wanted it to go on forever. I would have given this book a 5 but I cannot give it the same rating a the HARRY POTTER books by J.K. Rowling. Thanks a lot Louis. This book was incredibily imaginative and I loved that there was like two different plots that came together SO perfectly. I would recomend this book to ANYONE.
