He is suposed to dig a hole five feet by five feet every day. There are alot of things that we did not say in this short summery.

He is the main character in the story. You will meet many characters such as Zero, Madame Zeroni, Armpit and the Warden. While you are there, you will be digging lots of holes. Have lots of fun. P.S. Watch out for the Yellow Spotted Lizards.

Rating: Summary: Great for kids 6 to 100. Rivals Harry Potter! Review: Well written book about Stanley Yelnats - a boy whose family has been cursed for generations by its ancestor who once "cheated" an old witch out of a pig. My 6-year-old daughter loved every moment (although I did edit out one portion) and so did I. It was exciting, intense, and very, very funny. If an adult book would emerge that was anywhere near as good as either Holes or Harry Potter, what a good reading season it would be. "Where is the second book of the series?" was my daughter's question within a moment of finishing the last page. We are buying more Louis Sachar.
Rating: Summary: My Cousin Review: Well yes I am his cousin. I have never met him before. He is a relative on my dads side of the family. He is like my third cousin or something. Louis if you read this your family from Maryland says hi. You most likely know about my father but not me. This is his daughter Sarah. I am so excited to here about the movie. This is a must read book for anyone.
Rating: Summary: What were the Newbery judges thinking? Review: Well, I, an adult reader, picked it up since it won the Newbery, and I can't imagine why. It's far too contrived and unbelievable to be taken as worthy. Honestly, the last name of Yelnats just to make a palindrome. And coincidence is packed on top of coincidence, descendant after descendant showing up in the story, it's just far too much for an adult to stomach. *Burp!*

Rating: Summary: It had them hanging on to every word! Review: What a mesmerizing read-aloud for my fifth graders! My kids thoroughly enjoyed the tale of friendship and growing up (with a few lessons on morals thrown in) and I delighted in reading it out loud each day these past two weeks. The class voted to eat lunch silently two days in a row in order to hear more, which was a real challenge for those with Doritos! Halfway through--right in Chapter 28--I stopped at the part where Kissin' Kate had a rifle aimed two inches from her nose; I snapped the book shut and pointed to their desks, "Go. Continue the story as you think Louis Sacher did." Amidst grumbles and gasps and even an accusation of child "abuse" of sorts, they churned out great pages which I will send the author. We will finish the last chapter tomorrow after they sketch a favorite scene. I feel like serving raw onions and sunflower seeds for a snack. Where do I go from here?
