Rating: 4 stars
Summary: HOLES= SWEEEEEEET
Review: Green Lake or Prison? Stanley Yelnats had to choose. He was wrongfully accused of a crime he did'nt commit and now he was in court saying the word "Greenlake" It sounded good, green, lake, both better than preison right? WRONG! Camp Green Lake was full of mean, crimal boys, and scary counselers. He is forced to dig a hole 5ft long and 5ft deep each day in the blazing sun. This story is easily readable even though there are two stories going on. One about Stanley's history and one about his adventures at Green Lake which both come to an awesome ending. In conclusion I would reccomend this book to any reader who has a creative mind. On a 1-10 scale I would give this novel an 8 because of its great character development but a lack of afterwords information. So go ahead, read it, I know you will love it!

Review: Have you ever been accused of something that isn't your fault? Stanley Yelnats was accused of stealing a baseball player's shoes when another boy stole them and ditched. He was homeless and was never taught not to steal. He did not know they would be auctioned off for thousands of dollars to help benefit homeless shelters. A famous baseball player donated them to be a good citizen because he was once homeless as a boy.
Stanley's hearing was delayed because of a baseball game. Then he had a choice. He could go to juvenile hall or Camp Green Lake. He was not rich and he had never been to camp before so he chose Camp Green Lake. He was in for the biggest surprise in his life.
One scene I enjoyed was on the bus when Stanley was wearing a pair of itchy, sweaty handcuffs...Another scene was just after this incident; Stanley had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sir. He was checked for weapons or leisure items, although none were found, he was treated like a common criminal, and he was spat at. You should read to figure out what the biggest surprise of his life is!!!

Summary: The Best Book Ever
Review: Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do? Well this is what happens to Stanley in the book Holes. He gets accused of stealing some very expensive baseball shoes. This isn't the only bad thing that happens to Stanley. He has lots of bad luck because of his good-for-nothing pig-stealing great grandfather.

Stanley goes through a lot in the book Holes but he keeps on going through the thick and thin. Stanley is kind of a fat and slow kid and gets picked on a lot. Stanley gets a choice to go to jail or to go to a camp, a mean boot camp. So he goes to the camp called Camp Green Lake. It is not an ordinary lake because it does not have any water. It dried up a long time ago. There are only two trees and just a little camp.

Holes is a great book. It is very exciting and thrilling. It tells what happens to bad kids. This book is well written and relates to most kids. All my friends love this book too.

I recommend this book to all kids. If you get picked on or get accused of doing things you don't do then you will love this book. Kids will like this book more than older adults.

You should get Holes by Louis Sacher. If you don't then you will miss out on a good book. Now here is something to think about. What would you do if you were in Stanley's position? Hard to answer, right? Well there is an answer. Go read Holes and you will find out.

Review: Have you ever been at the wrong place at the wrong time? Well that's what happened to Stanley Yelnats, the main character of the book Holes. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time and his punishment was to go to Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake is not a glorious camp. It's not a happy place either. Stanley had a choice to go to jail or Camp Green Lake. He choose Camp Green Lake because he thought it would be a camp where you could swim, play games and sing songs but he was extremely wrong. All they do there is dig holes. Their regular day is staying outside until their holes are 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide. They get only a few water breaks during the whole day. No one knows why they have to dig holes. The Warden says, "It builds character". Is that indeed why they have to dig holes? Read this book to find out why they really have to dig holes.
