Summary: An amazing book that you can't put down!
Review: This is one of the best books I have read in a while. It's weird- and I'm not usually one for weird books- but I really, really loved it. Stanley, (or Caveman, his nickname) is sent to Camp Green Lake after being accused of stealing a famous baseball players shoes. Camp green lake is a Camp where you must dig a whole every day, Five feet deep, and five feet across, in a lake that has been dried up for 110 years. You meet all of Stanley's new and interesting friends- and Zero, a boy who hardly speaks, that Stanley becomes great friends with. I'd say this is Sachar's best book yet!

Summary: Keeps Getting Better
Review: This is one of the best books I have read. Its one of those books that doesn't explain everything, but it lets you figure it out for yourself. Although at first I was a little unsure about how good a book with a subject of digging holes would be, Holes hooked me from the beginning. I couldn't put down this book about a boy who ends up at a camp for "bad boys" where they have to dig 1 hole every day, and the boy's friendship with a fellow "camper". This is really good book I recommend it for any one.

Summary: AMAZING
Review: This is one of the best books I've read. I recived it for a Christmas gift and am so glad I did. I would never have picked it out myself. Holes was basically about an overweight boy who is sent to Camp Green Lake. There is no lake at camp green lake. it is where boys gone wrong with the law go. The lake is long gone, it dried up many years ago. The reason Stanley is there is not his fault. It is his pig-stealing great great grandfathers. He has one friend at camp greenlake. And the owner is an evil lady. This is not a girl scout camp. The counselor Mr. Sir makes that quite clear. This book had many twists and turns that made it so amazing. I read the book in about 1 day. Highly suggest it to anyone. I am in the 8th grade and found it SOOO good!

Summary: a great book for kids
Review: This is one of the best childrens/young adult books I've read in awhile. It is an Indian Paitnt Brush book for 2000 and deserves the title, along of course with the Newbery Medal. I had the good fortune to meet and listen to Mr. Sachar and he is just as wry and interesting in real life. This story has a nice message, and keeps the reader interested, very worthwhile.

Summary: My reveiw of Holes
Review: This is one of the greatest books that I have ever read. It is SO suspenseful. The author is pure genious. The plot thickens on each page, untill it's thicker than oatmeal. I would suggest this book to anyone that is prepared to read a book that they can't put down 'till it's done.

Summary: One of the best
Review: This is one of the most interesting, intriguing, clever and enjoyably satisfying books I have read (adult books included). A book that's got it all: insight; ingenious plot; compelling characters; good writing; and an ending which wraps it all together in grand style. This book stayed with me long after I finished it.

Summary: Very Entertaining
Review: This is probably Louis Sachar's best. I liked this book. I'd reccomend it for anyone who likes survival type of books. Just get it and see for yourself.

Summary: The Best Book I've Read So Far!!!
Review: This is probably one of the best books I've read. Stanley Yelnats is a hilarious character. The book has many, many connections and has some strange happenings going on. The weirdest part is that the camp is called "Camp Green Lake" and there is no lake there. The book talks about the history of Green Lake and about Stanley's no-good-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather. Stanley ends up at Camp Green Lake because he supposedly stole some famous baseball player's (Clyde Livingston) shoes. The story may be confusing at first, but in the end, it all makes sense
