Rating: Summary: You can't put this book down! Review: This is Louis Sachar at his best. A five star book for sure, it kept me up all night. It is written well, with fascinating characters and a great action plot.
Rating: Summary: THE STANLEY MAN REVIEW Review: THIS IS MR. R POWERS SPEAKING. I RATE THIS BOOK 5 STARS. THE THING THAT I LIKE THE MOST IS HOW EVERYONE IS RELATED OR KNOWS SOMEONE FROM THE PAST IS RELATED WITH THE PEOPLE IN THE PRESENT. TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T READ IT YET, READ IT! READ IT BECAUSE IM NOT TELLING YOU ANYTHING. NA NA NA NA IM NOT TELLING YOU .....YOU CAN'T MAKE ME. HA HA HA! SO READ IT. ITS A GOOD BOOK. BELIEVE ME I NEVER READ ANYTHING.
Rating: Summary: Morgan's Review Review: This is my favorite book ever written! The first time my teacher read it to my class I fell in love with it right away. This is the best book ever written!
Rating: Summary: great tall tale Review: This is my favorite book of Louis Sachar. It reminds me a lot of Fleishman's books. A really sly tall tale with compassion for the underdogs in life, not to mention lots of great moments on friendship. You'll cheer at the end. Stanley Yelnats is one of my favorite heros.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've read! Review: This is not only a great children's book but also a fun read for adults! Louis Sachar is the author of 'Wayside Stories from Wayside School' which was one of my most favorite books from childhood. Holes is now one of my most favorite books of adulthood, I couldn't put it down!
Rating: Summary: Refuge on God's Thumb Review: This is on of the best books because it always keeps you on the edge of your seat. For exmple when Stanley enters the warden's office I couldn't put it down. Also, the part were in which Stanley has to go down the mountain is very interesting. I enjoyed it so much my whole family read it. So in conclusion, anyone should read this book because you won't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Even in a serious situation Stanley makes you laugh Review: This is one book everyone enjoys, adults and children as young as 7. I read it in a day and then started reading it to my second grade class. They always asked that I read more. The story helps children with listening skills, sequence and looking for clues. Not to mention how the book keeps them interested. Each time I read it to a group of second graders I get a new perspective on the story.
Rating: Summary: funny as well as interesting Review: This is one of my all time fave's. I thought Stanley's trip to "CAMP" greenlake was funny and the book was clever. I thought the characters like mr. sir and the warden were funny too, in a mean way. So if you like fun books about kids with BIG problems, read this book. I also advise you read Prairie Whispers if you like exciting stories . It's Great.
Rating: Summary: this is one of my favorite books Review: this is one of my favorite book
Rating: Summary: GREAT!! Review: This is one of my favorite books I have EVER read. In the beggining it's kind of slow, but when Stanly sets out to search for Zero it is AMAZING! I love this book. I think everyone should read it and experience it!
