Rating: Summary: Holes Review by Blake Schones and Bradley Chester Review: This is an interesting book because it has alot of twist and turns. It is about a boy named Stanley Yelnates. He gets in trouble for stealing Clyde Livingston's shoes. He gets sent to a camp named Camp Green Lake.Stanley thinks it is a fun summer camp, but Finds out it's not. There are many ways this book is realistic. One way is there could really be a camp like Camp Green Lake. Another way is they could really run out of water. The last way is someone could have gotten killed because they were Black. I like this book because you never know what's going to happen. This book teaches you lessons in life.
Rating: Summary: An Okay Book Review: This is an OK book, but the book about Harry Potter, a leading member of our community here at Hogwarts, is much better. Buy Harry Potter! He needs to get rich! RICH! RICHRICH!
Rating: Summary: this is by far the best book that he has written! Review: This is better than Harry Potter or Red Wall. I'm 10 years old and I read this book in two days and that was between all my homework. I highly reccomend this book
Rating: Summary: I'm digging Holes. Review: This is book will stay with you long after you read it. Finally, the Newbery committee picked a real winner. This book deserves the award. The ending is uplifting, without being a simple, thrown-together "happy ending."
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: This is by far one of the best books that I have ever read. If you like exciting books with just a little bit of mystery you'll love this book. This book is about a boy who is accused of a crime. He's sent to a camp where he'll have to dig holes that are five feet deep and five feet wide in what used to be a lake. But what he doesn't know is he's digging not only for punishment but for something else. To find out what that is you'll have to read the book.
Rating: Summary: This book left no Holes in my brain Review: This is defiantly one of the best books I have ever read. The audience for this book is young adult, ages 12-18. I also think that everyone; any age can also enjoy this book. The theme in this book is a very good one, one that most people can relate too. The theme is to keep trying, never stop, despite how hard things are. The characters in this book are well developed especially Stanley. Most of the time the plot is very interesting, and easy to follow, but when the author, Louis Sachar, goes into detail about the history of Camp Green Lake, the book gets a little boring. This book brought many emotions to me. For example, I felt sorry for Stanley throughout the whole book, because he was innocent and wrongly accused, and had to suffer for it. My overall impression of this book was great. After reading it, it is now my favorite book for sure. It is funny, interesting, and always kept my attention. I have to give it a ten out of ten.

Rating: Summary: Dig It Up Review: This is for Mrs. Sargent at the Burgate School. Holes is by Louis Sachar. When I saw the front cover I thought it was really good. I liked the way they have the lizard over the background of the desert. The book is about a boy who is cursed. His name is Stanley Yelnats. One day something unlikely happens to him and he ends at a camp for bad boys. At the camp the boys have to dig for 'building character', so the warden says. One of Stanley's friends runs away so he goes after him. When he gets back he is released. The part I liked best was when Stanley tried to escape the water truck. It was funny because he was going well then crashed in to a hole. Things always go wrong for Stanley. The part I liked least was the beginning because it was quite boring. It seemed as if not much was happening. The author spends along time describeing the camp and Stanley's life. It is only later that you see the connections in the story. The main characters were Stanley and Zero. The character I liked most was zero because he hit Mr. Pendanski with a shovel and he's not as silly as every one thinks. The character I liked least was X-ray because he took the treasure off Stanley and did not come out to see him at the end. I would recommend this book to a friend because it is fun and very exciting and has a good story line. It is also quite easy to read, especially as the chapters are small.
