Summary: An Awesome Book
Review: This book was one of the best I've read.It is a realistic fiction and mystery type of book.It is kindof long, but is worth the wait.It all starts with a guy named Stanly, who is acused off stealing shoes and is sent to a horrible camp.At this camp you have to dig holes 5*5 in an area you are asigned too.You only have to dig one and the rest off the day is yours. If you are to find something worth wild then if it is aproved you get the day off.In this book a lipstick tube is the first prize, but since you have to read it you'll just have to find out yourself.Stanly meets a kid named Zero(nickname)who is black and dosen't talk.Later in the book Zero makes a deal with Stanly that helps. At the end it is in the future where Stanly is older. This book has nice description,an awesome hook,a great story line, and action. This book is great and you should read it.

Summary: My students loved it!
Review: This book was passed amongst my sixth-graders like no other book. All who read it, loved it, and I enjoyed watching it travel from student to student. Sachar has a real winner here!

Summary: My students loved it!
Review: This book was passed around my classroom. My non-readers and avid readers loved this book! Holes is a complex story but, it holds the reader's attention. Some children may have a hard time finding the connection between all the things in the story. This would be a great book to read as a family or in the classroom!

Summary: Holes-Louis Sachar
Review: This book was pretty good, what i expecially like about all Louis Sachar's books is the humor, almost all of his books make me cry from laughing...

Summary: Intriguing book...hard to put it down!
Review: This book was purchased for my son, in part, because it was a Newberry award winner. He left it in the car while he was at an appointment, and I picked it up and started reading it. It was so interesting, I had to read the whole book before I gave it back to him! It was a very fluent style of writing and held one captivated. Because of the theme (a juvenile prison camp), I was concerned that there might be inappropriate situations or language in the book. However, it was quite wholesome. My husband read it also, and he really enjoyed it. The book certainly gives cause to think of consequences of behavior and explores the dynamics of a group of teenage boys and their different backgounds and situations. Goes to prove you can't always judge a person by his outward appearance (looks and/or intelligence). It also shows who are your true friends--not just those who pretend to be friends when they want something. This is one of the most refreshing and uplifting books I have read in a long time.

Summary: Holes
Review: This book was quite unusual. It was weird but not too weird the plot was imaginitive and inventive. The book is an intricate jigsaw puzzle which keeps you guessing untill the end. Stanley Yelnats is unjustly sent to Camp Green Lake boy's detention center. There is no lake, and nothing is green except for two giant oak trees, between which is stretched a hammock the hammock. The hammock belongs to the Camp Warden, and nobody can lie in it but her .The Camp Warden makes everybody dig one hole five feet deep and five foot wide everyday. After a while it becomes clear to Stanley that she isn't just trying to build character, but that she is looking for something. But what could be buried in the middle of the desert? I highly reccomend this book.

Summary: Humorous! Read it now!!
Review: This book was really good. I don't think adults will appreciate it as much as 9-13 year olds will. It starts with a boy named Stanley Yelnats who must go to a camp where all they do is dig holes in 100 degree weather. The camp is for kids who committ crimes.

Summary: This book was THE BEST!
Review: This book was really, really good. I have read 100 books this school year. I'm in 4th grade. I would have to say this book is the best book I have ever read. I look at the sales and there weren't many sold well I say it should be the best-selling book in THE WORLD! This book has even won the 1999 JOHN NEWBERRY but it seems Amazon didn't put that there. Well I think everyone should read this book! Plus I'm in 4th grade and I read this book in 2 days! This book is about 235 pages! So now that you know how good it is GET IT!
