Review: This book is by far a wonderful book for anyone. In the begging Stanley is caught for supposedly taking the baseball players shoes BUT HE HAD NO CLUE! Long story short he is taken away to Camp Green Lake to dig holes for what seems to be eternity. Being sent to the middle of the desert didn't seem all that bad until Stanley found out he was to dig a perfect hole everyday until his time was up.
With the books many twists and turns it shows charateristics of helpfulness to others and the out come of determination. Despite all the hardship the kids at Camp Green Lake go through a surprising twist will come when the owner of the camp is punished. This book always made me want to read more and more. Its chapters all have a new turn to the plot that just wants to make you figure out the mystery of the HOLES. Louis Sachar i a GREAT author and i hope to read many more of her books over the summer.

Summary: This book is horribly touching...
Review: This book is definitely one of the best by Louis Sachar. I have read a lot of his books, and none of them touched me as much as this one. The insane idea of having to dig a hole of that size every day in the blazing sun is so unreal, that it is believable. This enchanting tale of pain and friendship is a must-have for readers of all ages. (....) This is really a wonderful book that everyone should enjoy.

Summary: The plot was full of Holes
Review: This book is fabulous reading for young people... and old people, too (I'm pushing 40 and I was hooked... couldn't put it down). Louis Sachar has achieved a masterful telling of a story of injustice, greed, and the triumph of human goodness. Weaving together the lives of two boys (and their ancestors), he places them in a believable (because the reader wants to believe) and compelling adventure where the underdog overcomes incrediable odds. There is a touch of magic-realism in this tale that Sacher has skillfully executed. Sachar's writing is so good that he 1/ won the Newbury Medal and 2/ easily convinces the reader to suspend disbelief. I am sending a copy of this book to my 10-year-old godson and carefully keeping my copy for when my 3-year-old son will be old enough to enjoy it. My husband, who thinks he is a comedian, says, "the plot was full of Holes". He loved the book, too.
