Rating: Summary: Holes By Louis Sachar Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats and he is cursed because of his stealing great-great-great-great grandfather. He is in the wrong place at the wrong times. However, one day he gets caught for doing something he didn't do and he gets the blame. He is then sent to a kind of boot camp and he learns to dig holes 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep he soon founds out that they are actually digging for a treasure that was hidden under there, and that the Warden desperately wants to find it. Then a friend of his that is also there finds the suitcase and it happens to have Stanley's name on it. Then a lawyer rightfully takes Stanley and his friend away from the bootcamp and they keep the suitcase. Later they find deeds inside of the suitcase and they become rich. The main character of this story is Stanley Yelnats. His father is an inventor he tries his best to invent things but he always fails. While Stanley was in boot camp, however, he was able to create an odor killing spray for shoes. Stanley is always in the wrong place at the wrong time, so he always just happens to get in trouble. I like Stanley because in many ways he is just like me. Stanley me look like the typical troublemaker, but he still has a good side to him. Stanley makes friend that actually got him in trouble in the first place. His friend was the one who had gotten him in trouble and had brought him to boot camp. Stanley is not very like the other kids at the boot camp and at first, he does not fit in. It was his friend that helped him get on his feet. My favorite part was when Stanley actually becomes a hero rather than the troublemaker of the whole gang. He finds the suitcase and he sees his name on the suitcase and rightfully takes it away from the Warden. The Warden tries to take it away, but he jumps into a hole full of poisonous lizards. He stays perfectly still and he stays there for about a whole day. Then, in the nick of time, a lawyer that helps Stanley's dad, rightfully took him away and saves his friend and himself from even more hard work. I like how he had used his brain to get there. i guess now he was actually in the right place at the right time.

Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who has been accused of stealing shoes from Clyde Livingston. He didn't really steal them they fell from the sky. Stanley's family believes it's because of their "no good dirty rotten pig stealing great great grandfather", and then in turn got them a curse on their family. Now Stanley is forced everyday to dig a hole the length and width of his digging shovel. That's a lot of work. The book is really 2 stories that overlap and make and awesome book. Two worlds collide and make for an interesting twist.I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. If I would have added up all the time it took me to read it, it'd be about 5hrs. This has been my all time favorite book. I have never read a book like this. That's why it got a Newbery award. If you like adventure and mystery you will love this book. I recommend this for any age. Parents this will be a good book for your son and daughter to read. The book is only (fairly inexpensive), get this book. You will love this book, I did, and I hate hate hate hate reading. Get this book NOW; you'd be dumb not too!!!!
Rating: Summary: Holes Book Review Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who is sent to Camp Green Lake, a dried desert lake, to pay for his bad behavior. He and the other kids in the camp are required to dig a hole, about 5 feet by 5 feet every day to help build character. Once you are finished, you can rest for the next day....I would recommend this to people of my age (12). All my friends recommended me this book, and I think it is a good book. Some people were writing about this book of being the greatest book ever made. I would pass it down like it's just like a valuable gift from relative to relative. It's a Newbery Medal book. It has the teachings of crime, punishment and redemption. ...
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who is wrongly accused of a crime. It took me two times reading it so that I could figure out the meaning but, when I did I was so surprised and happy. The story fits together very well and is THE BEST!!!!
Rating: Summary: LOVING HOLES 5X5 Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats, that found a pair of stolen shoes. I like it when Stanley stole the water truck and ran it into a hole. I also liked it when Stanley had to carry Zero up the mountain. He realized he was in mud, and to make mud, you need water. Thanks to his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather, Stanley turned out to be a better person and happier with himself. I recommend this story to people, who like fictional adventure stories.
Rating: Summary: Great book for people of all ages Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley, who is falsely accused of stealing shoes, and is sent to a Camp. The camp is at a dried up lake, and boys who have committed crimes go there. They have to dig one hole every day. Stanley meets some other guys, and they become friends. He even starts teaching Zero how to read. There are some pretty interesting things that start to happen to Stanley, when Zero runs off and he goes to find him. There is a lot of irony towards the end of the book, and it was really fun to read. The ending is really surprising, too. This was a great book.
Rating: Summary: This is a Must-Read Book! Review: This book is about a boy named Stanley. He was sent to Camp Green Lake but, it is all dried up now.He was sent there because he was accused of stealing a pair of sneakers. The camp's warden makes the boys dig for good character. But really they are digging for something else. I liked this book because it seemed like two books in one.I also liked this book because everything tied together at the end. My favorite character was Stanley because he was nice, smart, and funny. He is my favorite because he went and helped Zero. The best part of the book was when Stanley and Zero were heading toward Big Thumb. It was my favorite because it was exciting to know if they would make it or not. The ending of the book was exciting, because it was a surprise to find out what they were really digging for.
Rating: Summary: Holes in a Boy's Heart Review: This book is about a boy names Stanley Yelnats, who is wrongfully accused of stealing a baseball star's sneakers from a homeless shelter. As a result, he is sentenced to 18 horrible months of digging seemingly pointless holes at Camp Greenlake. While Stanley is at 'camp', he meets someone who ends up as being more than a sellmate to him in this prison(which is a big deal considering he didn't have very many friends at home). His name is Zero. People tend to pick on Zero because he doesn't talk as much as others do, but he's actually very smart, and Stanley won't let anyone say anything negative about his new friend. When Zero runs away, Stanley knows that he must go after him. Stanley and Zero find refuge on a mountain they call 'God's Thumb'. In the end, all the wrongs are writed, and Stanley gets to go home, and, he actually did build some character digging those awful 5x5 Holes.
