Review: The book Holes was not very exciting to read that is why I gave it a 3 on how it was. This book did have some interesting parts in it that I kind of liked. Like a part where Stanley tried to take a truck and drive off but then fall into a hole that had been dug. There was another part flowing that when Stanley falls into a hole and finds lizards crawling on him meanwhile he found a treasure box? I would recommend this book to people that like to read.

Summary: This book was better than a lucious lollypop in July.
Review: The book Holes was one of the best books I read all year. Tt had a very exciting plot that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole book. It also had a funny side to it with it's many jokes. The best part of the book was when they excape from the juvinial detention facility to the mountain because it slaps you around and when it is over it leaves you screaming for more.

Review: The book Holes was very good. Some things I didn't like about Holes was that it was weird because there were three different stories in one.Another thing I didn't like about the story was when Louis Sachar left you hanging at the end.Something I did like about the book was the saying, "no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather."

Review: The book Holes was very interesting and adventuress. I like the trick about Stanley's name. Stanley was accused of stealing Clide Livingston's shoes but Stanley said they just flew out of the sky and in his hands. Then he got sent to Camp Greenlake, where bad kids go to dig holes five feet deep and five feet wide. At camp Stanley had a kid named Zero in his tent, you'll find out why they call him Zero and what happens to him. I recommend this book to anyone who likes surprises.

Summary: This Book is good
Review: The book Holes was written by a great author called Louis Sachar. Stanley Yelnats is the main character that always ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time. Stanley thought his great great grandfather cursed him. Stanley was walking home when a shoe hit him on his head. He picked up the shoes and ran home. He took is because his dad is trying to make a new invention that will recycle old shoes. Stanley was caught by the police and was taken to Camp Green Lake. At Camp Green Lake they have to dig holes that are five feet deep and five feet wide. When Stanley start digging his first hole he realized that there were no lake. He met a friend called Zero. Zero later on ran away and survived in the dessert for one week without water. Stanley thought Zero died so he decided to look for his remains. Stanley stole Mr. Pendanski's car. Mr. Pendanski is a man that comes around to fill water in the boys' canteens. Stanley drove straight into a hole, and abandoned the car. He walked for half a day and found a flipped boat. He went under the boat and found Zero. Zero looked very sick and pale. The boys decided to go to the mountain that is a thumb shape. Getting to the Big Thumb was a goal for Zero. Zero believed at the top of the mountain was many food and many water. Once they got to the Big Thumb they had to climb a cliff. After climbing the cliff they have to walk up a steep hill. Zero fell, and Stanley carried him the rest of the way. Stanley smelled something that is really musty. He thought it was Zero but it wasn't. It was the smell of weeds and onions. That gave Stanley a good feeling because if there is weeds there got to be water somewhere. When they got to the top of the hill they drank as much water as they could. Stanley took a big gulp. They stayed up there until Zero recovered. It took a long week. Stanley and Zero were walking back to camp. On the day they were returning Stanley suppose to be released, but he wasn't there. Stanley digs a hole where he found a lipstick. He finds a suitcase in the middle of the night and he say a flashlight shining right at them. It was Mr. Sir. Later on Stanley's lawyer came to help him get out of camp.

I thought this book is very good. I thought this book is good because it keeps you suspense. This book makes you really try to get into the book. I think this book is very good for people to read. It think the author wrote this book because something similar must had happened to him.

Summary: Holes
Review: The book Holes will make you feel good inside. It is a story about good and evil. It teaches us about right and wrong. Every day for 18 months Stanley has to go through hard work and diffecult decisions like giving things he finds to other people. Stanley's adventure will bring you right into the holes with him and make you feel like you are digging with him.

I think Holes is a better book then Harry Potter. I think its better because you have to read all 4 Harry Potter books to know what you're reading about. Staley's last name is Yelnats, but if you spell it back words it spells Stanley.

I like the book hole because it is an easy book to read. The book is also funny and exciting because of the characters names and attitudes. Thank you for reading my review.

Summary: The Thrilling Journey Through Holes
Review: The book Holes written by Louis Sachar was a very exciting book due to its suspenseful scences. One of the many exciting scences that happend was when Stanley escaped the terrible Camp Green Lake.During the hole scene, the reader could not predict if Stanley was going to live or die. Another thrilling scene was when Stanley carried Zero up God's thumb when Zero could not hold up his own. The reader was not able to figure out why they they thought they could find refuge on God's thumb. The best scence was when Stanley was trapped inside of one of the holes and was surrounded by deadly yellow lizards. This scene was the best because you did not know if the warden was going to kill Stanley or save him. Because of these exciting scenes, Holes was a very exciting book and has many suspenseful scenes and this book should be read by all teens and pre-teens.

Summary: I actually COULD NOT put it down!
Review: The book Holes, by Louis Sachar is an awesome book. It was a real page-turner and I just could not seem to put it down! It is a non-fictional book about an unlucky and disobedient teenager named Stanley Yelnats. Stanley is mistaken for doing a crime that he did not commit. Stanley's punishment is that he has to go to a juvenile camp for the whole summer in the middle of the desert in Texas. Everyday at the camp, Stanley and all of the other boys have to dig one hole five feet deep and five feet wide in an old, dried up lakebed. It is extremely hard to work there in the blistering hot sun, and the boys rarely ever get water breaks. If Stanley or any of the other boys find any treasures in the hole while they are digging, then they have to immediately give it to the Warden, and then they get the rest of the day off. Stanley and his new friend, Zero cannot take it anymore, so they make a run for it (forgetting that they were in the middle of nowhere, with no food or water). They both struggle to stay alive. This story is about and has to do with self-confidence, pride, justice and second chances. The author, Louis Sachar, has a way of making you feel that you are in the story. He also has a way of making you feel and experience all of the emotions and experiences that Stanley has to go through. I recommend this book to anyone who just needs a good book that keeps him or her focused, interested and entertained. I usually cannot get into a book unless it is fabulous, and Holes is just that.
