Summary: The Book Holes
Review: The book Holes is an incredible book. It is very inspiring and gave me a lot of hope. Stanley went into this situation hopeless and came out of it as a strong, healthy person. He showed strength and courage through this whole book, which I think was very inspirational. For someone to have to go through that and come out the way he and the other boys did was fabulous. I thought the friendship between Stanley and Zero was a great way to show that two totally different people could bond and have respect for each other as in the way these two have shown. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys non reality stories and has the heart and the time to sit down and read this book.

In the first paragraph it brings you in to the story with going on a bus to a Juvenile camp. They have to dig a five foot by five foot hole evrey day. The middle and end is splendid and that makes a book awsome.

Summary: Holes
Review: The book Holes is basically about a boy named Stanley who is accused of stealing shoes. Though he is not guilty, he is sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile delinquent center, and is ordered to dig holes 5' wide, 5' deep. As the book progresses, one of the kids named "Zero" runs away. Stanley goes to find him . When Stanley tracks him down, he decides not to go back to camp for a while and take refuge on Gods Thumb. It has a spring with onion plants, and is far different than the camp set in the desert. When they return to camp, they uncover a piece of Stanley's family history.
I thought the book was really exciting. It was filled with adventure, and I didn't want to ever put it down. The book even has a little action in it when Stanley "borrows" the truck to find "Zero". I'd recommend this book if you like comedy, action, adventure, and excitement. You won't wan't to stop reading it!!

Summary: A great story about freinds and cruelty of the world
Review: The book Holes is fantastic book about the world and reality. This book shows that not everthing will always go your way. For instance when Stanly Yelnats (the main character)is accused of commiting a crime that he did not do, he is shocked that the reality is that he is going to have to pay the time and go to Camp Green Lake. This book also brings out why people act the way they do. Lets take the warden for example she is a mean lady who runs the camp. Stanly can not find out why she is so mean, until he finds a piece of gold and the warden snatches it from him. Then Stanly starts to understand what the warden is after. He finds she is so mean because she wants the boys at the camp to dig her holes so that she can find more gold. Because she believes in a legend that states that there is gold buried somewhere on Camp Green Lake. So if you ever get a chance to read this book I would go for it.

Review: The book Holes is greatly written. It is about a young boy named Stanley he has done something very wrong he has . And now Stanley has to pick beteen going to jail and going to Camp Green Lake. Stanley chooses to go to the myserious Camp Green Lake. When he gets there he is greeted by a man, this hard, strict man is Mr.Sir. Mr. Sir yells for another man, and this man's name is Mr.Pendanski. Mr.Pendanski is Stanley Consoler. Stanley is taken to a tent which is tent D. There were boys already in the tent he suppoused thouse would be his group. Now Stanley had not seen any lake around. So he asked a boy in the tent he just started laghing, so he asked him again he anwsered "there is no lake here you dig a hole each day." Then the next day he to dug a hole it had to be 5ft. deep and 5ft. long. One day a group mate Zero asked him how to read and write, and if he could teach him. Stanley said he would if Zero dug his own hole and his hole. Then one day Zero ran away and Mr.Sir told them earlyer that there was no water for 100 miles. Just on the third day...... wait I not going to tell you the whole story. I really liked this book it had suspence, and on some parts you needed a box of tissues. Enjoy!
