Rating: Summary: A Review of Holes By: ... Review: The book Holes is a great book. The unique thing that Louis Sachar did is that he made Holes a story within a story within a story. After you read this book, you wonder about how Louis Sachar made all of the stories relate to each other. As you read this book, you feel like you are in the book with Stanley and his amazing adventures. Even though you don't like to read booksw, like me, you get into the book from the start. There is suspence and you always wonder what is going to happen all throughout the book. All the connections you find in the story Holes are sometimes very fun to find. I recomend this book to 5th grade and up. I was in 3rd grade when i first read this book and i fell aleep every time I tried to read the book again. My favorite character was Zero. Even though he didn't talk alot you knew what he was thinking about and what he was going to say. So after you reads my review, you are probably thinking Holes is a great book, after all, I don't like books but I liked this one so it's probably great. So come on and try the book. If your done reading this review, now try thew book Holes. Remember, vacancies don't last long at Camp Green Lake.

Rating: Summary: Holes Review: The book Holes is a suspenseful treat that can be enjoyed by readers of all ages. If your looking for a book that just asks to be read, your search can stop here. Whether this book is used in class, or for just plain reading enjoyment, you will not be dissatisfied. Holes storyline revolves around the protagonist named Stanley Yelnats. Stanley comes from a long line of Yelnats cursed with bad luck. In the book, Stanley finds himself framed for a crime he did not commit. To be punished for this crime, Stanley is sent to do character adjusting through hard labor at Camp Green Lake. Stanley is quick to find that Camp Green Lake is no longer a lake. He finds that it is a working camp filled with other boys digging holes. Through his time at camp Green Lake Stanley makes new friends and foes. He also finds that the holes that they are digging have more to do than adjusting his character. By Stanley's discovery, he finds that the real reason for the holes is to find something. Through his time at Green Lake, two different storylines come to meet. Stanley is looking for treasure from the great outlaw Kate Barlow. From these two characters, you find a big twist and unification in the storylines. Giving this brief summary should allow you see how kids will stay in great suspense for the actual turn out in the story. The best relation to young readers has to be the unique and believable characters it portrays. Stanley himself is a down to earth kid who just keeps getting into bad situations. Many kids can relate to these such happenings. At his time at Green Lake Stanley finds many life like peers in his work group D. The story shows the friend making process most children go through. Children's acceptance and rejection is portrayed very well throughout the whole book. Along with the life like characters, the mood facilitates the suspense of disbelief. Throughout the book, you find yourself thinking that this really cannot be happening. Later to think this book is not far fetched. The book can very well take place in a nonfiction type of manner. The characters seem real, and the storyline is not to far from reality. Another good aspect of the book is that the mood and pacing flow extremely well together. Throughout the book, you see the plot unfold slowly and carefully. Stanley does his time at Green Lake only to find the other story line meeting his. The book allows the reader to want to read on and see what happens next. If you're looking for a book with a twisted storyline and a suspenseful ending, Stanley's suspensful adventure would be great reading for you.
