Rating: Summary: Great! Review: The best part of Holes is everything comes together in the end and your not totally clueless about it but you're definatly not filled in 100%. Its a great thing because Holes the Movie is the only movie based on a book that didn't leave any thing out because they couldn't or the story wouldn't make sence.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: The best read-aloud that I have ever shared with my students! I teach fourth grade and nothing else compares to the experience that my class had with "Holes". Every detail is important and it all comes full-circle. Excellent!
Rating: Summary: greatest book ever! (says my eleven year old son) Review: The best. Great for kids. "When my Dad asked if he could read Holes to me, I wanted to play computer games instead, but listened to make him happy. Now I've found it's the greatest ever! Once you start, you can't stop. You never know what's going to happen next. I wish he would write a sequel to Holes."
Rating: Summary: Digging as a Punishment Review: The book "Holes" is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who always seems to be in the wrong place at the wong time. Stanley is an overweight kid who has been picked on most of his life. He is sent to Camp Green Lake for something he did not do. Camp Green Lake is an all boys camp. Boys are sent there to dig holes as their punishment. While at camp Stanely has many problems. He blames them on his no good-dirty-rotten-pig stealing-grandfather. While at camp he meets and boy named Zero. They become very good friends and help each other through the good times and bad. Stanley teaches Zero how to read and Zero helps Stanley did his holes. This causes a problem and in the end makes Zero run away. Of course Stanley goes after him. When Stanley and Zero return to Camp Green Lake there are people there to pick up Stanley because they found out that he didn't do the crime. Later on someone who is very close to Stanley tells him that he's the one who did it. In the end everything is of course back to normal again.

Rating: Summary: Holes A Great Book Review: The book "Holes" by Louis Sachar is a really good book. It is about a boy name Stanley who hates his family "curse" of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Once again Stanley gets in trouble. He is sent to Camp Green Lake to dig holes. My favorite part in the story was when they told the story about 'Kissing Kate Barlow'. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure.
Rating: Summary: A good book but lacking action Review: The book "Holes" is a compelling novel of a young man's adventures in a detentional correction center. It has the makings of a classic, but just lacks some more action in my opinion. It has many "coincidences" at the end of the book that make it a little fake. Otherwise a good book.
Rating: Summary: It is a book that deserves the Newbery Medal for 1999. Review: The book "Holes" is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who is sent to a camp called Camp Green Lake, where he does not want to be. (Yelnats is Stanley backwards). The book has TONS of exciting parts and often keeps you guessing about what's going to happen next. I say you should read Holes, even if you are an adult. I am a 9 year old girl, and I loved the book!
Rating: Summary: My review for Holes Review: The book "Holes" is one of the best books I've ever read. The author is Louis Sachar. The book is about a boy, Stanley Yelnats, who goes to prison camp and runs away to find a friend that he met there. The camp is in a desert in Texas and the boys there have to dig a hole every day that is 5 ft. wide and long. I like this book because you never know whats going to happen next. Another thing is that the book is like a web then it all meets together at the end. I definity recommend this book to anybody, any age.
