The judge found him guilty, and he was given a choice to go to jail or go Camp Green Lake. At the camp, you have to dig a hole 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep for the next eighteen months.

Summary: Dig a Little Further
Review: Because it lacks action, the book Holes, by Louis Sachar is mediocre. The plot is very well hidden, but is hard to understand. For example the flashbacks lead to confusion of the plot. The story seemed like a run-on sentence. It went on and on and on. To understand some of the text. The reader needs to read it more than once. The beginning starts off slow and the end finished too quickly. Louis Sachar seems to get tired of writing this book. On the good side it is suspenceful. It is one of those books where it depends on the person who reads it.

Summary: Holes
Review: Before when I had't read Holes yet, I thought the book was well boring. I did'n know what I was missing. But I was amazed of how many people I Knew were reading the book or had already read it. I was so dumb that I didn't even try reading it my self. I know what you're asking your self right know. How did I read holes. I read it with my teacher and classmates. My teacher Mrs.Haggertty loved this book, that's why we read it. This book was about how Stanley's great great grandfather broke a promise and how Stanley finished it. I can't wait till I watch the movie!

Summary: Beware a Mystery
Review: Beware for a mystery to be unlocked. The story "Holes" is full of adventures. It has well developed characters that catch your attention. This story is so good you can read it over and over just like "Green Eggs and Ham". I recommend this book because it has lots of exciting events. It is also a deep story with many twists and turns. All of the details become events making this story complete without any "holes"! This story begins when an innocent boy is sent to a hot, dry, sandy, and not so pleasant camp called Campe Green Lake. When he goes there, the bus driver says to him "watch yourself" and Stanley is not sure whether he means the bus step or Camp Green Lake itself. While Stanley is there he meets weird kids with different stories on how they arrived at the detention center. The best reason to read this book is to answer the question everyone is wondering; why are they digging holes?
