Summary: It's a really neat book, You HAVE to read it!
Review: It's a great book and it's really neat how at the end everything fits together. The book shows you the true meaning of friendship and how two boys can survive on sploosh and onions. I recommend it for all ages eight and up. You have to read it, if you already haven't!

Summary: I Read It Straight Through
Review: It's a great read and an imaginative story. My only complaint is that all the "coincidences" involved to make the story work seem a bit hokey, but I still had a big smile on my face when I finished.

Summary: Great book for teens
Review: It's a novel book which was written by Louis Sacher and it's called "Holes".

Stanley Yelnats, the main actor in this book, was arrested for something he never had done. There is a long history of the Yelnats family. There is a curse. It was the guilty of Stanley's great great grandfather. He stole a pig from a gipsy.

Back to Stanley. He was at the wrong time at the wrong place. That's always the case of Stanley.
The court decided to send STanley to Camp Green Lake. There was a boot Camp. Stanley prefered to go to Camp Green Lake instead of going into prison.

At the boot camp he has to dig a hole every day. Everyone in this Camp has to do it. The Counselors say that it builds characters. But Stanley thinks, there is another reason. But which one?!

Stanley is often in conflicts which the other boys. But one boy is absolutly great to Stanley. He is called Zero. Both run away because they were always bothered by the other boys. But they decided to go back to camp to find the thing which is all about in the book.

For me as a German it was very easy to read. It's written in a very normal english style. I liked it to read.

I think the book is for teens. Because it is written in a very good style and the history is played by teens, too.

My opinion of the book i a very good one. I really can everyone recommend the book. A very nich book!!!!

Summary: Love this book
Review: It's a really good book. It has stuff from the past and the present that at first, you wonder what on earth does it have to do with the book, but Mr Sachar makes it tie all together in the end. It's extremely complex; I can't explain he story. You have to read it! Holes has strong opinions about racism and bullying in the story, making it touching and funny (come on, this is Louis Sachar!!). I love this book. And as I said, I can't explain why, you just get it if you read it...

Summary: BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD! I
Review: It's about a boy named Stanley and how he got sent to Camp Green Lake. He started out like a fat chubby boy, and after a while he lost some weight and got stronger. I like this book because I like how he went to the thumb.

Review: it's about a boy who is unlucky he digs , he eats , and he sleeps all day but when his friend gets lost it gets even more boring it's ok if you like slow book's but that's my thought you might like it hey I might even like in 3 years

Summary: It's like a jigsaw puzzle.....
Review: it's like a puzzle.... stanley's life is full of bad luck. His life is connected to Camp Green Lake and to his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and to the history of kate barlow and her miserable life. The ending means so much...... which is connected in the beginning. Louis Sachar's a great author.
