Summary: I never wanted it to end.
Review: It was a good book. But I felt sorry for Zero. He was poor and his mother left him. He didn't know how to read. And it broke my heart. I liked that it was a story about bad boys. And I thought it would be miserable to be digging holes every day in the hot sun. I liked the beginning when Stanley thought he was really going to camp. He was looking forward to a lake.

You could learn alot of things from the movie and the book. One thing was that you should never give up because there is always a little hope if you have some.

Review: It was about a boy who went to camp because he stole a pair of sneakers.Every single day they had to dig holes in the desert.At the camp,he meets Zero who helps him break a family curse.At the end a lady came and picked him up and took him home.I liked this story because some people can maybe relate to this book

Summary: Great read aloud for sixth grade
Review: It was ten minutes before dismissal on a Friday afternoon. I told my class that I would have to stop reading aloud for now, and we would continue on Monday. They shouted, "NO!! Read another chapter today!!" We were sorry when the book was over.
