Rating: Summary: The best book i have ever read Review: I thought Holes was o good book because it gave you a good description of the characters and esp. the setting of the story. Holes was about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who thinks that he is cursed because of his grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnats. Because of the curse he got sent to Camp Green Lake because he stole a pair of shoes which he really didn't do. So has he's at Camp Green Lake he uncovers many secrets that unfold about his grandfather. While he's at Camp Green Lake he uncovers that the Warden of Camp Green Lake is a very bad person. You will find out the rest! Very interesting book.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: I thought Holes was the best book ever made. If no one agrees with me their wrong. I wish Lois Sachar should write a sequal. This adventure fiction novel had me guessing the whole time. Stanley Yelnats is the perfect character. With Zero,The Warden, Stanley's no good, rotten, pig stealing,great-great grandfather, and Kissin Kate finish it off.Camp Green Lake is a wonderful setting. I know I wouldn't want to be there!I'd haten to dig holes every day! I recomend this book for everyone in the world. The book is the best and thats all I'm going to say.
Rating: Summary: A good book but not quite there... Review: I thought is was a good book no dought, but it didn't have that "kick" that really good books have. It was ok but not Newberry material. The book is about a 13/14 year old boy who got cought stealling some shoes that he didn't really steal. He was punished by going into a camp. In this forsacen camp they had to dig all day long. Yes sadly enough they had do dig holes (hints the name of the book). These holes had to be five feet deep and five feet wide. It sounds like torture to me but not to the boy. He suspects that the sycotic warden is looking for something. But what could it possibly be??? You have to read the book to find out.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: I thought it was a really good book. Very adventous. I could never put the book down. I hope to find another book like it someday.
Rating: Summary: Fine Book Review: I thought it was an okay book. Not the best though. But I think it should be a book everyone can enjoy. It's about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. He gets acused for stealing a famous baseball player's shoes. I shouldn't give you away the rest. If you want to figure out what happens, check out the book or buy it.
Rating: Summary: Holes Review: I thought that "Holes" was the best book ever. It was funny and active. "Holes" was somewhat like a mystery book because in the beginning the Warden was looking for something when X-Ray found the mysterious tube... which got all the readers wondering. The best part for me was the ending when they dug up the treasure and they had yellow spotted lizards crawling all over them! This was a very exciting book!!!
Rating: Summary: holes Review: I thought that Holes by Louis Sacher was a great book. Sometimes it makes you want to keep on reading. It makes me want to have a drink because of all the digging thay do. Its kinda' wierd because sometimes the book will talk about the past and jump back to the present. I think you will enjoy this book, I did
Rating: Summary: A Hole-y Review Review: I thought that Holes definitely wasn't Louis Sachar's best book. It didn't have as many interesting details as the plot had potential for, and the book kept flipping back and forth from two stories. I didn't like that because when you got back to Stanley Yelnats (the main character's) story, you couldn't understand it as well because the other story was fresh in your mind. This is also not the typical type of book Louis Sachar writes. It was much more serious and less funny. All in all, I think that this is the kind of book you take out of the library for a one-time read, not buy and keep forever.
Rating: Summary: Holes was great!! Review: I thought that holes was a great book!! it had a ton of imagination and was very interesting. i couldn't put it down. I especially liked the stories about his no-good-rotten-pig-steeling-great-grandfather. I reccomen reading this great book.
Rating: Summary: My reveiw of Holes (dull, but it works...) Review: I thought that Holes was a great book, but I did not like that the book was a fantasy book. I like true stories about famous people. Also the book has very good mysteries to solve, that will be very, very hard to get so be careful what you say. When you finish the book, you are going to want to read the book Holes again.
