Summary: Holes
Review: I loved this book, I was forced to read it for school but found out that I couldn't put it down, it is a great book. I usualy finish a book over 200 pages in 1 1/2 weeks or so, but this one i finished in 2 days! I can see why it got the Newbery Medal Book, and I think you should see too.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent plotting
Review: I loved this book, primarily because of the clever inter-plotting between events of the past and the present: a great way to get kids interested in learning more about their own family history. I thought it would be too intense for my 8 year old son, with all the horrible and unfair things that first happen to the young lead character, but he loved it too.

Summary: Best Ever
Review: I loved this book. I couldn't take my eyes off it until I was finished. The story is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats(read it backwards too) who thinks that there is a curse on his family. All of his predecessors had failed at anything they had done, not because they had no skill or money or whatever, because they had no luck. And being accused of stealing a famous ballplayer's shoes that were on sale for charity. He gets a choice: jail, or Camp Green Lake. He chooses Camp Green Lake, and at that place, you have to dig a hole exactly 5 feet deep, 5 feet wide, and 5 feet long. You'll have to read it yourself to find the rest out. But the story actually begins in Europe long ago, and the families weave through each other so intricately... (^00^)<-that's a pig

Summary: A great book for all ages!
Review: I loved this book. In my opinion it's good for all ages, even adults can have fun with it. I've read several of Mr Sachar's books and they are all VERY fun. His constant switching of time makes the book even more enjoyable!

Summary: Dig Stanley, Dig!!!!
Review: I loved this book. It is a great book anyone who knows how to read. Although the story sounds a bit odd, it is packed with fun and adventure. The book was about a boy named Stanley. Stanley is accused of stealing a pair of shoes and is senteced to prison or camp. Stanley chooses camp because he thinks it will be easy there. He finds out it is not. Stanley has to dig these 5 by 5 foot holes in the ground everyday. Later in the book, stanley meets a boy named Zero. Zero and Stanley become great friends. Zero wants to run away and Stanley decides to follow. Will they make it? You'll have to read to find out.

Summary: Holes
Review: I loved this book. It was probably the best book I have ever read. It is about a young boy who gets acused of doing a crime he didn't do. He gets to choose to go to jail or Camp Green Lake for 18 months. He chooses Camp Green Lake where he has to dig a large hole everyday. While he's at the camp he makes alot of new friends and goes through alot of adentures. When I was reading it I had to force myself to quit reading because I was really in to it. I think that it deserved its Newberry Metal. I would recommend it to anyone who loves adventure.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: I loved this book. It's about a boy named Stanley Yelnats, his last name is his frist, just backwards. Anyways, Stanley is cursed. It all started with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great grand father. Stanley gets blamed for something he did not do and is sent to Camp Greenlake for punishment. I would rate this book 5 stars because it's funny and a good book for children of all ages or even adults who are children at heart.

Summary: Loved it...
Review: I loved this book. Suffice it to say I started reading it on Friday afternoon and watched the sun come up Saturday morning. I could not bear to put it down. What is worse (or is it better?), I told my husband he HAD to read it, and well, he started reading it Saturday and stayed up well into the early hours of Sunday.

The book had an unusal tone and storyline. It totally gripped me because I didn't know where the story was leading to and how it was going to end. I especially liked Stanley and Zero's friendship, and Stanley's relationship with his parents. There was something so touching about those relationships. Although written for children, it really "spoke" to me, an adult well over the recommended reading age of 9-12.
