Summary: Great Value
Review: I bought this for both my boys! It is the best deal on the net and if I have another child, I will buy again (maybe with a different cover).

Summary: Great for older toddlers
Review: I picked this book out for my one year old son thinking it would be a great sit-down-and-snuggle book. It's got a sweet story line great for bedtime. One problem: my son sits through the first 2 1/2 pages and is ready for some other book. It is not the kind of book that "grabs" really young ones. The colors aren't eye catching and trying to make the book slightly entertaining for my lil boy only made me tongue tied. You try to read aloud a book with "little nutbrown hare" and "big nutbrown hare" in every other sentence and your tongue ceases to cooperate with you.

Summary: Go right to the big-kid version
Review: Yes, yes, it's a wonderful story, full of love and warm cozy feelings, and of course it brings tears to my eyes every time I read it . . . but there are too many words, not enough colors, and it's just not interesting enough for a very young child. We read several books a day in our house (sometimes several dozen), but, as patient as he is, my son just won't sit still for this book. I have great hopes that he'll love this story in a year or two, but by then he will have outgrown board books. So, in short, you should certainly buy this classic, but don't expect to be able to read it to a toddler! I'd skip the board version and go right to the big-kid book.

Summary: Guess How Much I love You (Review by Altin Campbell)
Review: This is a great book. It focuses on the quality time a parent spends with their child and the extent of their love for each other. My parents purchase this book for me when I was in 2nd grade, and I still like this book! The art graphics are great too. The art impacts and reinforces the depth and warmth of compassion shared by the father and the son. Even though this book is for people up to 3rd grade; if every now-and- then you still like to lay your head on your dad's shoulder, or if every blue-moon you still like to rest with your mom's arm wrapped around you; then this is a great book for all ages. In looking at and listening to my parents you never out grow the memories or the need for confimation of your parents love. I like this book because the content leaves you feeling happy and peaceful and definitely cared for. The only sad part was when the son fell asleep before hearing his dad's final words of the evening. But, even that part was cool-beacuse the reader and/or the listener is insured that the father loves his son. This story also could be titled as "A Father and Son Day Out" or "Chillin With Dad"

This is a must read. I recommend this book to parents who love their children and to children who love their parents every where of all ages and nationality.

Summary: You Can't Please Everyone All The Time
Review: ... It is such a sweet, honest story about parent-child love. I really don't believe that the father figure is "winning" or being smug, only saying what's in his heart. And of course it's all in fun. And for those of you that feel sorry for the little guy, remember that he will be big one day too. This is what we ALL go through. :-)

Second, I agree with what some others have said about this book as far as it's appeal. I, myself, love it. But I can't say the same for my little girl.

I bought this for my 22 month daughter on Valentine's Day. She loves books and had just recently gotten to where she could actually stay focused for a story of any length. So I thought this would be fine. The truth is, though, that she lost interest in it right away. It's a very artistic book. With it's very soft-colored, subtle, drawings that nearly seem to get lost in the background, the phrasing and momentum of the story. And, yes, the names "Little" and "Big" "Nutbrown Hare" do stick in my throat as I read.

At this age my daughter really does better with illustrations that stand out and are vivid and colorful. Also rhyming stories are best at this age. As it is now I can usually get to the 2nd or 3rd to last page and she takes off.

I am sure that she will grow into this and that's fine with me. Get this book. Even if your child doesn't like it right away that isn't anything bad to say about the book, give it some time. If nothing else, get it for yourself.

Summary: Can recite this book, word for word
Review: This book is well written and illustrated. The lines are catchy and you'll find yourself saying them to your child. I read this while I was pregnant and read it to my daughter now. When you mention this book to others, they often respond with a line from the book. I have given this book numerous times as a baby shower gift. Love to read and encourage others to give the gift of reading.

Summary: Guess How Much I Love You
Review: This children's book was an excellent example of the relationship between a mother and her daughter. It refers to the love between the two main characters, the rabbits. The mother rabbit tells her baby rabbit how much she loves her. In return, the baby rabbit tries to show how much she loves her mother. The book is a wonderful look into the bond between a mother and her offspring.
