Rating: Summary: Still My All Time Favorite Review: I LOVE THIS SERIES! I remember collecting this series as a child! My oldest daughter (now 15) read these when she was younger, and now my youngest daughter (8 yr) is beginning to read them. My oldest daughter was a quick learner, reading very young and Extremely fast. My youngest daughter is slower, so I have begun to read these books along with her to increase her reading skills. I am becoming reintroduced to this wonderful series and have also begun to purchase the kick-off series by other authors. This series has also brought back my interest in the Author's life, and I have begun to purchase other books to learn more about her! I recommend this book to everyone, young and old!
Rating: Summary: Books you'll love forever Review: The little house books were my favorite for years. I like the way Laura is the one who takes charge, even though she's not the oldest child. She makes hard life on the frontier sound exciting and fun. She has a way of making lemonade out of lemons and makes the heartland come to your heart.

Rating: Summary: Little House books Review: I love these books. When I was in 4th grade my grandparents gave me the collection for my birthday. I have read them over and over again. When I left home, I left them behind & my parents sold them for $.5o @ a garage sale,I was so upset. I now have 2 girls of my own,and just bought the set again. My 6 year old loves when I read it to her @bedtime. Laura Ingalls Wilder is a magnificent author. Her books show children morals, values & that in hard times, you pull in together as a family. Great read, even for kids today!
Rating: Summary: Very good book Review: This is a great series to read. I think it is very exciting to read about the pioneer times. There are many many adventures throughout the series and it is a great book for kids. The books show how life was back then and all the hardships and troubles, and it is a very fun book to read.
Rating: Summary: Learn about America`s Past Review: I received the boxed set while in 5th grade, and have read, reread, and read again all the books countless times during my childhood. Now I`m married, and often regale my husband with tales and stories from early American history that I learned from the "Little House" books. While my husband is American, I was born in Japan and often found that I knew more of American history/details of pioneer life than he did--so now I want him to read the stories, too! I`m counting on him enjoying them as much as I did--who wouldn`t?
Rating: Summary: The Little House books Review: I love the little house books! They are very easily read. I ,who do not speak english usually, read these books with no problem. You can read about Laura Ingalls and her life as a pioneer girl. You can read about their good and bad times. I recommend these books if you want to learn more about the pioneer life.
Rating: Summary: A Collection to Grow Up With Review: My first book that I ever remember having read was Little House in the Big Woods. For Christmas, my father gave me the collection when I was three years old and we read them together until I was old enough to read them myself. The dog-eared copies I own have been read countless times and I look forward to someday reading these stories to my own children. The collection not only tells Laura's story but of her future husband and her sisters in a realistic and colorful manner. The pictures are drawn with attention to detail and the stories are priceless. To own this collection is to own a piece of history few of us know about. It is indeed the perfect collection to grow up with.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: I grew up watching the Little House tv series. My sister and I got the set of books as a gift one year. We loved the books as much as if not more than the television show. I remember my third grade teacher reading the series to our class throughout the year. I teach fourth grade now and I would love to share these books with my students who are inner city children and don't see much of the simple life. I would more than anything love to share this set with my own daughter. They are a wonderful gift!
