Rating: Summary: Keep book out of baby's reach Review: My 16 mo old daughter has loved this book since she was 12 mo., but I have to keep it out of her reach . She loves to lift the flaps but has now been tearing the flaps off when she reads the book on her own. She is only allowed to read it in my lap where I can stop her from ripping the flap off.
Rating: Summary: This is the best book ever! Review: My daughter is 13 months and just LOVES this book. It is so adorable and the pages are so bright and cheerful. She loves playing "peek a boo" with the characters in the book. I think this book is worthy of 10 stars!!
Rating: Summary: Great book for tiny hands Review: This book along with other Karen Katz' books are great books for little kids. My Son loves these books, they were among the first books I got for him. But these books are not sturdy enough for him now that he is 2. He loved lifting the flaps so much, now they are all torn out. But still, they were great fun for him!
Rating: Summary: Katz' books are wonderful and develop kids' love for reading Review: It's a great and fun way to teach your kids about their body parts. I got this for my son when he was just 14 months. He's now 18 months and still love the book. He always get excited whenever I showed him the books. He would right away sit on the loveseat and would even leave a space for me to sit at. He's very fascinated with the flaps. He just can't wait for the next page to come so he could see under the flaps. There's always a lot of giggles and smiles on his face on every turn of the page. We both love this. This is one of the first set of books I bought for him. I also purchased Toes, Ears and Nose, Where is Mommy, and Daddy & Me, which are equally entertaining and educational.
Rating: Summary: Them cutesome Belly Buttons Review: Hi, I love them cute belly buttons, t'aint they a doll? The Photo cover really appeals to all of them happy peoples! Read this y'all, if ya wanna go 'awwwwwwww' that is sweet t'aint it?
Rating: Summary: Fun and educational Review: lift-the-flap books are generally a huge hit with my 21-month old and this book is among his favourites ('Where is Spot?' being his absolute favourite). He loves pointing out his own belly button, eyes, ears, etc. and playing peekaboo alongside the babies in the book.
Fun and educational ... can't go far wrong with this book!
Rating: Summary: 3 month old son LOVES this book! Review: Ok, so maybe he didn't say so, but he doesn't need to, the expressions on his face as we read it speak volumes. He smiles at the bright pictures and always raises his eyebrows as if surprised and impressed by the lift up flaps that reveal more bright pictures. Thie simplicity of the pictures, using common shapes and colors of the same value, are just right for infants. This is a great book for small babies. I've discovered that reading to my son, with him able to look at all of the pictures, is a wonderful way to soothe him when he is tired, over-stimulated or just plain crabby.
Rating: Summary: Baby Ellie Approved Review: My little one who is 9 months old now has enjoyed this book since she was 3 months. In fact she enjoys all the Karen Katz books. I'm not kidding you she recognizes the babies in all these books! They are great and we love reading them to her. She gets excited and claps when she sees the pictures!! I totally recommend this!!!
Rating: Summary: Great first book Review: I bought countless books before my baby was born, including most of the classics, and from about 6 months on, tried to get him interested in any and all of them with no success. Eventually between 7-9 months, after reading the reviews here, I ordered this. And voila! He seemed to like it -- well, he would at least sit still on my lap long enough to turn the pages and lift the flaps! Three months later, it is definitely his favorite book -- he giggles when I pull it out, and loves to lift the flaps up and down, and up and down, and up and down. After three months of all that upping and downing the flaps ARE raggedy and curled up, but he doesn't seem to mind. I figure on buying it again when it really gets worn. I would definitely recommend this if you are trying to get a younger, active baby interested in books.
Rating: Summary: Fun Book Review: My daughter is 21months and loves this book. We have had it for several months and she is still not tired of it. She loves to play peek-a-boo with the babies in the book. The only drawback is the flaps are definately not child proof. Our copy is now well taped to repair torn pages. I would throw it away if she didn't love it so much.
