Rating: Summary: fun to read and hold Review: Purchased this for my 8 month old grand daughter and it is always new and fresh for her--she simply loves it. I have now purchased all of Karen Katz's books. You won't regret buying these for your babies!!
Rating: Summary: My 16 month old's favorite Review: This is a WONDERFUL book. It satisfies my daughter's great love for peek a boo and naming and searching for different body parts. No matter how many times we read this book, she always acts "surprised" to see what is underneath the flap and finds great fun in searching for her own belly button or hands (or whatever the page says). The flaps are sturdy and have withstood my "toddler's terror" even after reading this book over...and over...and over... You and your little one will love this one.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for baby's first library! Review: This book boasts of simple text in question-and-answer form that is perfect for one year olds. The illustrations are bold and bright, and the flaps are oversized...just right for tiny hands to lift! Like most flap books, some of the flaps eventually came loose after many repeated readings (to both of our children), but some wide book mending tape took care of that!
Rating: Summary: Fun way for baby to learn! Review: Our daughter loved this book and really learned from it. We never made it a point to drill her on her body parts. It came to a complete surprise to us when we were reading this book with her and she started showing us her own body parts along with lifting the flaps. At under a year she could identify hands, mouth, feet, etc. Great buy!
Rating: Summary: Finally a book our 13 month old likes! Review: Our 13 month old was not interested in books until we found this one. He was immediately drawn to the pictures and loves looking under the flaps. The flaps are larger than in most lift-the-flap books, so it is easy for him to grasp and lift the flaps by himself, which he loves to do. This book is also short enough that he doesn't lose interest before the end.
Rating: Summary: parents opinion Review: the story line is fun but the flaps are fragile...my 13 month old has already torn them..in less than a week.
Rating: Summary: 18 Months and Still Lifting the Flaps! Review: My 18-month old son still loves this book, as well as Where's Baby's Mommy. He has lifted the flaps so much that I've had to tape some of them back together. Its easy to read and point out the body parts on ourselves, too! Beautiful big illustrations. A real necessity in any baby's library!
Rating: Summary: My baby's favorite! Review: This was my daughter's favorite book for 3 months! (Now she's 6 months and it's her second favorite book after "Ten Little Ladybugs") Reading this book to her is like playing her favorite game of peekaboo. Her little body trembles with anticipation waiting for each flap to be lifted, and when I lift the flap, she lets out a piercing squeal of delight! Even if there were no flaps, the drawings are a hit - so I've just ordered "Counting Kisses", as well.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful for infants! Review: My three month old loves this book! I thought my daughter would be too young for this book, but she is enraptured by the drawings of the babys. The colors are bold and stimulating, and the faces are adorable. I read this to her everyday, and she kicks with pleasure! This should definitely be on the must have list for new parents!
Rating: Summary: Great book for babies! Review: Just as with "Where is Baby's Mommy", my 7 month old daughter loves this book. She sits with me while I read the whole book, unlike other books that don't quite hold her attention. I think the illustrations are one of the main reason, they captivate the attention of little babies and it is not too long either. She always laughs and giggles with this book, I definitely recommend it for other babies to enjoy!
