Summary: Excellent
Review: I had to warm up to Eric Carle but I really dig his work. This story is repetitive (as most of his work) but the repetitive nature of his work is goo; my little one likes the repeating words and stays engaged in the story. This book also teaches color, different animals and for fun, animal sounds.

Summary: Brown Bear
Review: My daughter is 24 months now and has been interested in this book since she was 8 months old. She loves to say me at the end of each page and repeatedly tells me what each animal is. In fact sometimes she likes to just go to the end of the book so she can point and tell me all the animals she sees. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, even to newborns. The colors and animals seem to be very attracting to children as well as its repeative words.

Summary: Teaches colors...
Review: A great addition to your toddler's library! I think I like this book better than my daughter, she will sit still while I read, but it is not one that she tends to BRING to me to read. I was surprised, usually she loves books illustrated by Eric Carle. I think that maybe when she shows more interest in colors, this one may become a favorite.

Summary: 1 year old can't get enough of this book!
Review: My brother picked this book out for my little girl's 1 birthday. It has helped her to identify animals and colors at such a young age. It is so cute to watch her babble words as if she is really reading. When we read it to her she helps turn pages and gets very excited when she sees the "yellow duck". She has a lot of books but that is the one that is most interesting to her!!

Summary: May be my all-time favorite young children's book
Review: Brown Bear, Brown Bear may be my favorite all time book for young children. The "rhythm" of the book is wonderful and the illustrations are perfect. Children love to read it again and again. I train child care providers and parents on developmentally appropriate practices and I always include this book in my presentations as a great, all time classic to read to and participate in with young children. Start them out on books like this one from birth. This book will never go out of style and you absolutely can't go wrong with it.

Summary: Great Atttention Getter for a 2 Year Old!!!
Review: This great book from Eric Carle is great for toddlers. I have a 2 year old son who received this book for his 2nd birthday. He is almost 3 years old and he knows this story so well he recognized the colors from the animals. Whenever I ask him about the colors he will tell me the color and the animal from the story. His imagination has expanded from reading this book. I recommened this book to parents who are beginning to read to their child. This is a great first start in reading.

Summary: can we read this again?
Review: Our son can't get enough of this book, and we are happy to oblige. Fun animals, incredible art, good color awareness builder. It has been with us for about a year and our 2yo son is almost able to 'read' it to us by himself!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not a hit!
Review: I bought this book for my son when he was a toddler. I thought it was a lovely book, however he did not enjoy it at all. It sat on his bookshelf for five years and was read only the once.

Summary: Another great Eric Carle Book
Review: You wont be disappointed with this book. Eric Carle writes such wonderful children's books that capture the imagination as well as teach them about colours, animals and words through repetition.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great introduction to colors and animals
Review: This little book provides a simple way to help your young toddler begin to learn colors and animals. The repetitive verse focuses on the colors and animals and the large illustrations make the connection simple for young children.

The verse is so catchy it can easily be memorized and used during long car rides to focus your child's attention on something other than the fact that you're not there yet.
