Rating: Summary: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? Review: Brown Bear, Brown Bear was the coolest book when I was little. It was very funny and it just kept me coming back to the bookshelf to read it and look at the pictures. It teaches the reader their colors and enterains them at the same time. That is why it is one of the greatest children books. If you dont know your colors this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: A MUST HAVE! Review: This book has been a favorite of my daughter's since she was about 7 months old. The illustrations are simple and colorful; very eye-catching! Reading it in animal voices has added another level to the book. My daughter, now 16 months, knows all the animals, the sounds they make, and most of the colors! This book belongs on every baby's/toddler's shelf.
Rating: Summary: Classic Review: Ah,this is a classic. I remember reading this in Kindergarten,I loved it. This was the first book I ever read. I recommend it to everybody-a must read!
Rating: Summary: December #5 Review: I like this book but I don't like this book because it teaches good lessons but it is so repeative and it gets annoying after people read it over and over. It helps kids learn words and a little rhyming and I enjoyed it when I was little but now that I'm older it is a very, very annoying book that I will Propably never read again until I have kids and I am forced to read it.
Rating: Summary: A fun, must have book! Review: My son just loves this book, and "Polar Bear, Polar Bear". The flow and cadence of the words keeps the kids focused and interested, and, heck I'll admit it- I have almost as much fun with this book as my 3 year old has!
Rating: Summary: A family favorite Review: The easy rythm of this book makes it an easy one to read over and over and over... The illustrations are fantastic. They are creative and encouraged my son to experiment with his finger painting in a new way. (After we discussed it of course.) This is an excellent introduction to colors and you can use this as a jump off for other senses- we talk about the sounds, the colors and the food the animals in this book eat. It is a lot of fun. I like books that you can use as an introduction to a new idea or to reteach an old one. THis book is well worth th money because there are so many things you can teach using this little book. Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: Part of the charm of the Eric Carle books are the pictures. They are creative and simple and only enhance the message of the text. This book is no exception. The pictures are adorable. I particularly like the text of this book. The repetitive nature of the text is great for pre readers. They can 'memorize' parts of the book and 'read' it back to you. Very exciting for younger children. I find the ending of the book to be very creative and interesting and it really captures my child's attention. This book can be used as a beginning to introducing animals, animal sounds, colors and more. It is a simple book and that makes it easy to read over and over and over again. Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Easy to read, teaches colors and new words... Review: This was the first story my daughter learned in Primary/Kindergarten. Each day the kids learned a new color and words for each page of the book. My child really enjoyed bringing home worksheets to show me what was happening in the story. After she learned the story, I bought the hardcover book to replace the well-worn worksheets that were getting very crumpled. This is truly my daughter's favorite book, and she loves reading it to her sister. Her reading skill has surpassed this level, yet she returns to it for the colorful illustrations, and to remember the joy she had in learning to read. This book rates 5 stars and your child will love the melodic tempo to its words as they learn to read.
Rating: Summary: A Favorite! Review: My daughter got this when she was 4 months old and it is still her favorite at a year. The bright pictures made her excited each time I turned the page, which she can do on her own now. The sing-song story is appealing too. Sometimes we just flip through the book and she tries to repeat the animal names after me. I think this is a must-have for any baby's book collection.
Rating: Summary: One of my favorites Review: I remember "studying" this book in kindergarten and I loved it. I bought it for my daughter when she was just tiny and she loves it as well. It has been one of her favorites. Now it's passing down to my 5-month-old daughter. This book teaches colors and animals. Then at the end it reviews the entire book. It's a wonderful learning tool for young children.
