Rating: Summary: A super predictable book children love to repeat with you! Review: I love to use Brown Bear, Brown Bear with my Kindergarten classes. They enjoy the predicable phrases where they can join right in and "read" along with me. They don't even realize that they are learning colors and words. I use the book with a coloring book (DLTK Crafts) so that the children can color their own copy of Brown Bear, Brown Bear and then use it to tell the story from memory.
Rating: Summary: Great Book for Little Ones Review: My 22 month old daughter received this book as a gift last week, and she won't put it down! She loves pointing out the animals, and it's a great help with colors! And it's still pretty good after you've read it about a thousand times!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book for Repition and Color Review: This has been my son's favorite book since he was 6 months old. We read it to him at least 7 times a day and at night this is the book that puts him to sleep because as we read it over and over, we turn each page slower and say each line quieter.About the book . . . the illustrations are really nice. The repetition throughout the book (brown bear, brown beat what do you see . . . red bird, red bird what do you see, teacher, teacher what do you see) creates anticipation in children as they know what may come on the next page. I am thoroughly please with this book which is why I just ordered more from this series (Polar Bear, Polar Bear what do you hear?). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Rating: Summary: Love it! Review: I love this book because the pictures are beautiful and we can guess which animal and make it's sound. A recommended book for those with toddlers!
Rating: Summary: Timeless... Review: "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" has to be my 2 year old's favorite book. We read it on a daily basis and it never fails to amaze me how interested my son is in turning the page. Big, colorful pictures aid young children in learning colors, mastering the names of animals, and appreciate the tiny bit of anticipation the book offers. A wonderful book for any young child's library.
Rating: Summary: Educational, Simple, Fun and Great Illustrations Review: My son (2 years old)received this board book as a gift yesterday, and it is already his new favorite book. The illustrations are extremely vivid and well illustrative of each animal and colour (except the goldfish, which doesn't quite look like a normal goldfish) He loves to "peep" at the next page to see which animal is coming next (as he can't read as yet), and then loudly announce it as if he's reading. Of course he knows the words by heart already. As we were driving today we passed a dog, and he proudly said "I see a white dog, looking at me!" I never thought such a simple book and concept could be so educational.
Rating: Summary: Great book for babies. Review: I bought my 4 month old this book and she gets really excited when she looks at the big colorful animals.
Rating: Summary: Grudgingly, a classic... Review: Much like the jazz song accompanying my worst nightmare, in which every band member plays something different all at the same time, seeing one of my twin daughters approach me out of the corner of my eye carrying "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" brings about a cold sweat and makes me want to reach for a tube of airplane glue and a warm lager. I originally checked this out of our local library for them in the hopes of temporarily weaning them off the glass teat world of Barney, Little People, and Kipper, but little did I realize they would take to it like flies to garbage, memorizing most of it within a few hours. Shortly thereafter, I tried to hide the book but it kept reappearing until the mere sight of it became about as welcome as Roger Clinton backstage at a Marilyn Manson concert. My selfish motives and petty complaining aside, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" is full of colorful pictures, an easy-to-learn rhyming scheme and by its very nature is trance inducing to most kids under the age of 3. For that reason alone, it's a godsend.
Rating: Summary: What a fabulous book for your kids... Review: Starting from infancy onto age 7 or so, this book is a great book to read. Rhythmic, educational, and fun. Children love it, and best of all, you will love reading it to your children. We've really enjoyed this book throughout the years.
Rating: Summary: Terriffic Book Review: This is my daughter's favorite book. At 5 months old, she would yell and stare at the book until I read it to her. She loves the bright, bold pictures and the rythm of the book. We have read this book so often that I have it memorized. When she is a bit cranky, I recite it and she quiets immediately. I highly recommend this book.
