Summary: Must have!
Review: This book is a must have for anyone with small kids. Both of my boys have loved this book starting from about 18 months. My 6 year old now loves to 'read' it to his little brother. An extra bonus - it is great for learning colors and animals.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: LibraryLiz
Review: Summary: On each page of this story, the reader encounters a new animal in a different color who urges you onward to the following page where yet another animal in a different color is found. This pattern is repeated over and over until the end of the story when the reader has come across all the animals. The story starts with a brown bear. Next follows a red bird, a yellow duck, a blue horse, a green frog, a purple cat, a white dog, a black sheep, and finally a goldfish.

Evaluation: This is an excellent book to either read aloud or for children to learn to read with. The rhythmic and repetitive text will act as an aid for children in helping them to memorize and recognize words. The bright life-like illustrations are also very enjoyable and entertaining. They are very appropriate for the age level this story is geared towards. Children will find some of the animals humorous, for example, the purple cat and the blue horse. Martin does an excellent job intertwining education with entertainment in this story.

Summary: Wonderful Book
Review: My 3 year old daughter has been enjoying this book since she was about 9 months old. We've made the words into a bit of a rap song. She loves the different colors of the animals, (some not found in nature!) and she loves the multi-ethnic kids at the end. Wonderful!
