Summary: Even The Youngest Child Will Adore This Book
Review: I read this book to my seven-month-old daughter, Dana, every evening, as I have been doing since she was three months old. She loves the colors and the word patterns. She stops wiggling when we open the book and stares at the pictures with wide-eyed attention - a sure sign that she loves this book

Summary: A favorite of my class of toddlers
Review: Brown Bear is a favorite. The children in my class room ask for it to be read several times a day. They all come, sit and read the book with me. It is the best book any two year old could possible have. I have recommended it to all of the parents of my class. They said it was well worth the money. It is great because the rhythm, the way it is illistrated and the rhyming of the text. And an added plus is that it also teachs them colors and self identity. A MUST HAVE BOOK

Summary: Great For First Storytimes
Review: This book is a great first book to read to baby. The text is rythmic and the illustrations are bold, simplistic, and big enough to attract young babies' attention. My son, at 4 months, enjoys this book.

Summary: My Son Loves it!!!
Review: My son got this book for x-mas, right from the beginning at 5 months he would love it when I would say "brown bear, brown bear what do you see", now he is six months old and he gets so excited and starts to laugh as soon as he sees the book. It is simple but an adorable book!

Summary: Great book to get your child to talk!
Review: When my little girl was two she could only say a few words. I talked to a speech therapist and was told this book and others by Bill Martin could help because of the repeating words. It really did!!! She loved the books and in a few weeks she was saying more and more words. Thank you Bill Martin!

Summary: Great classic from Carle
Review: This book taught my daughter to say bear at 14 months. We love Eric Carle books. A great way to learn animal names and colors.

Summary: A must for any toddlers
Review: I first borrowed this book from the library. My then 18 month old loved it so much, I bought it. He learned his colors through this book. Easy rhyme is fun for both children and adults. He's now almost 3 year old and this is still one of his favorite book. He memorized the entire book. He loves to pretend reading the book as I point to each word. Now my 18 month old wants the book, and I am thinking of getting another one.

Summary: Brown Bear, Brown Bear
Review: The story has a simple theme about colors and animals that children can relate to. The sentence structure is the same and repetitve through out the story, so children can easily read along with you. It is a good story to turn into a flannel board or to act out with your children. It was one of my children's favorite books! It also makes a great baby gift.

Summary: Who Doesn't Love This Book??
Review: I've read this book to a class of 1-2 year olds and then to a class of 4-6 year olds. Every single child LOVED this book. My Pre-K students wanted to read it day after day. They even ask to play teacher and read it to each other. It never gets old to them. I personally don't find the pictures extremely fascinating, but something about them and the simple rhyming text captures the attention of every child hearing/looking at it. I HIGHLY recommend this book for young children. It's great to see children's faces light up simply when they see the book. I've never met a person (young or old) who didn't enjoy it.
