Rating: Summary: not for little kids Review: I thought the book was funny for older children and adults. It would be a very confusing book for my 6 and 7 year old who are still learning manners and get in troulbe for using that F word. I don't like seeing it marketed to young kids.
Rating: Summary: shocked in Virgina Review: I can understand adults getting a laugh out of this. To choose to encourage children to laugh at flatulence is unbelievable. My kids laugh enough at it that I feel no need to spend money to make it even funnier to them. It is the adults job to teach them manners. How will they ever handle it approporiately in public situations if we encourage it to be an hysterical matter? This book is fine for older kids who already know how to be polite about it. It is ok for adults who want a fun laugh. It is awful for children who can only be confused by the conflicting messages they get. Spend your money on a more productive book, please!!!!
Rating: Summary: Finally I can say that "F" word out loud! Review: I found this book listed as a best selling children's book in our Sunday paper, and couldn't believe the title had the word "fart" in it! I bought it to read to my grandchildren. We loved it! It's very funny, and every time the "F" word is said out loud it is funnier and funnier. Even my 33 year old son looked over my shoulder and laughed every time poor Walter let one. Boys especially will love this book!
Rating: Summary: A Must For Kids With Cystic Fibrosis Review: I know, it doesn't say anything about CF, but one of the difficult symptoms to live with for people with CF can be gas. I will say no more about that. And even though I dislike the F-word (FART) I had to get this book for my son with CF. It has a great message. Some people (or dogs) can't help it. And they are very lovable and keepable nonetheless. Great lesson about tolerance and fabulously creative illustrations.
Rating: Summary: A Real Gas!! Review: I ran across this book one day while looking through the shelves of children's books at a local bookstore several weeks ago, and I still chuckle to myself every time I think about it. Even though my son is only 2 and a bit young for the text, I plan to purchase the book and keep it for myself until he's old enough to appreciate it!!! I couldn't stop laughing the entire time I was reading the book, and the illustrations are amazing and captivating!!! Anyone with a sense of humor should treat themselves to this wonderfully hilarious book or give it as a gift to someone who could use a serious laugh!!
Rating: Summary: Great Book for Adults, Too Review: This is the funniest book! I ran across it and took a look - I couldn't quit laughing! I bought a copy and keep it on my desk - when the stress hits, I read this book for a few good belly laughs!
Rating: Summary: Do your part in the fight against illiteracy. Review: This is the type of book you can't get away with buying for your own children, but you can certainly give it to a favorite child in your life who has a silly sense of humor. The story is absolutely preposterous, but it will make kids and adults laugh out loud. We gave it to our 8-year-old nephew, and 6 months later he still talks about it. He even wants to be Walter for Halloween!
Rating: Summary: Walter, The Farting Dog Review: This should be in every young child's library. It is, by far, the funniest book we own. I will certainly be buying more copies to give as gifts. Indulge yourself and child in some good, gastro-intestinal humor!
Rating: Summary: good, smelly fun! :) Review: Someone at work picked this up. I read through it and had to have it for myself. A fun book with a nice simple story that kids can understand.
Rating: Summary: Walter Review: Great book, couldn't stop laughing. Gave it to my Father for Father's Day, he agreed with me. Dad took it to the nursing home and read the story to the residents who also enjoyed. This book will certainly span the generations.
