Summary: Amazing world J.K. Rowling created!
Review: I am a 31 year old who bought the books after having listened to them each at least six times. Every time I hear the tales on tape I am transported to a whole different exciting fantasy land of magic and dragons.

I can't wait for the next book!

Summary: Excellant and Well Thought Out
Review: After putting off reading these books for the past year, just out of plain laziness, I finally took my brother's advice and picked up Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. I couldn't put it down and ended up finishing the book the first day. During the rest of the week, I read the following three and am now eagerly awaiting news of a fifth book. The details that Rowling has gone to, especially in the very popular Quidditch game, is to be comendable. She honestly writes for all ages as my father as well as myself both thoroughly enjoy her books. Harry's world is a sweet escape from our own where one is permitted to allow the imagination to wonder and to breathe just a little bit. I would like to say to all the religious fanatics out there that yes, you too can come to enjoy these books. My church has even sponsered a book group which explored the first book and found it rather enjoyable. I would highly suggest that everyone give these books a chance and to see them for what they are: an entertaining look at fantasy, nothing more.

Summary: Harry Potter books are really good but there is a true fact,
Review: I`m another Harry Potter reader and I love them and looking forward to read 5th book.Harry Potter is a fantastic movie the events are really good, you feel curiosity in yourself while you are reading it.Although it is a good serie and it is a World wide famous one selling millions, there is true fact that we have to face.J.K. Rowling isn`t an author for teens nor for adults these books are really fun, thrilling but there is no debt inside them. You don`t read a sentence more than once, you don`t read it over and over again to try to get and feel what the author is trying to tell.I don`t know English bu in Turkish it is one of the hardest thing to be a good, meaning full author.
I believe these books are for kids not for adults I`m not saying don`t read them, read them but don`t thing it is a piece of literature. In order to write piece of literature,J.K. Rowling has to walk a long path.

Summary: Can't let last review stand
Review: While our young people certainly should be aware that success in this life (and the next) can not be obtained through magic, I am a Christian who strongly believes these are great books. They are well written, imaginative, and allow us to escape the everyday in a safe, enjoyable setting. I found no occult overtones (or even undertones). Evil is portrayed as evil, not something one would aspire to, but rather, those who "will do anything to get what they want." Although those on the "good" side use magic, they also use their brains. They learn one must have knowledge to improve oneself and conquer evil. If, perhaps, my 7 year old wished he could use magic in his own life, it would be an excellent time to discuss our beliefs about helping others and how best to attain salvation. DO NOT miss these books because you've heard they're "bad." My only complaint was in wondering why Harry does what he does; one can tell these are the writer's first attempt. No harm, though, they are still wonderful. It doesn't matter how old you are, read them, and enjoy them.

Summary: Wonderful fun for ALL ages
Review: What wonderful stories, full of immagination (which every kid and adult needs!) and fantasy (too much of reality can lead us into the prune with the review before me). I loved them, and my daughter, who adores the movie, loves having them read to her. They are delightful and worth all the rereadings we've put in to them... everyone needs a little magic to spice up their lives.

Summary: Best childrens series - that adults should read!
Review: This is the best series for children to come along in many years. In spite of the seemingly mystical nature of the stories, they actually have a very different theme than one would expect. Harry almost never relies on magic, but rather he thinks, works, and judges for himself. That is the real draw of these books! Children can recognize a hero when they see one, and are naturally drawn to characters who take matters into their own hands and act on their own judgement.

Harry gets into so many situations where it would be easy to run for help or rely on someone else, but he doesn't! He is a true individual.

I highly recommend this book for children and also for adults who enjoy a good hero story.

I can't wait for book 5!!!
:o)

Summary: wonderfully imaginative
Review: These are fantastic books to curl up with on a lazy weekend afternoon. Wondrously creative, these are clearly kids books but with enough of an adult edge to keep the older folk interested. Highly recommended!

Summary: Harry Potter
Review: This book is a marvelous creation made of beautiful sorcery and magic. It is a page turning thriller, a surprise in every chapter. You'll feel as if you are swept away on the Hogwarts Express and hurled into a world full of mystery and suspense, wondering what is beyond the next door. It's as if you are walking side-by-side with Harry Potter and his devoted friends as they defeat dark wizards and hideous creations. Once you pick up one of the books it will feel like you are bound by a magic wand and cannot put the book down. All you're thoughts of magic being impossible disappear from your mind as you place you're fingers upon the books crisp, new pages. You're heart will race when you get to the next chapter, you think, "What will happen next?! I must read on!" This book is like none other and cannot be replaced by any other book or creation. Once you are finished with the first book you cannot bare to wait, you grab the next and open up. You feel a blast of magic rush through your blood even as you read just the title. Each book is about a year in the immense school of Hogwarts. The school is filled with secret passages that you explore along side of Harry, you will catch your catch your breath as you turn the next page unable to know what will happen! I wasn't able to do anything but read and enter Harry's baffling world. You will learn spells with Hermione and get into trouble with Ron; you will also hope that you won't encounter the infamous Draco Malfoy on the next page. These novels should absolutely be placed upon you're book shelf and once you start reading them you will know why. I hope this encouraged you greatly to buy these brilliant novels.

Summary: Harry Potter review
Review: I am 16 years old and some of my friends think I'm too old to read Harry Potter. Yet those same friends haven't read the books for themselves. J.K. Rowling has such a vivid imagination, and she writes as though she actually enrolled at Hogwarts herself. The world she creates in each book is so incredible that I want to go there and see it for myself. I can't wait until the next books and movies come out and I recommend the Harry Potter series (novel or film) for anyone who has ever wished they could fly, do magic spells, or just be themselves and not judged for being different.

Summary: Not just for kids
Review: There is no way you can lead me to believe that these are just for kids. Hardly; I'm 22 and most people I know that have read these are my age. They're so much fun and they are incredibly original. Some of the best new stories and books ever conceived. Don't let the witchraft and wizardy detract you from reading this, their truly great. Forget the "evil" implications or the promotion of the Devil, it's not about that at all. Besides, kids don't even understand that sort of thing when they're at the reading age of these books. Bottom line, I give them about 15 stars each, so thats about 60 total stars in all. I give these my highest recommendation and I am so excited for the next movie to come out, Chamber of Secrets on Novemeber 15th, and where, oh where, are the next three books!?!
