Summary: Horrible!
Review: I have read the first Harry Potter book and wasted a lot of time on reading it. First of all it was to confusing. Second of all it had way to much witch craft. And third of all it was BORING. So if the first Harry Potter book , The Sorcerers Stone , is bad then the others are probably worse. The Harry Potter movies probably WON'T be good either. The Lord Of The Rings is a lot better.

Summary: Impatient for Year 5
Review: If you like fantasy, J.K Rowling does a good job. perhaps not the detail of a C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, or Robert Jordan but then sometimes those other authors use so much detail that you want to say: "lets get on with the story". Harry Potter is not the great allogory of God vs the Devil, but it is much more fun also. Voldemort is evil enough for any story and I am very anxious to get book five of Harry Potter, Book 10 of Wheel of time, Book 11 and 12 of the Left Behind Series. If you like fantasy you can not go wrong with Harry Potter. I loved the series. For me, J.K. Rowling is working too hard on the movies and not enough on Harry's fifth year.

Summary: Excellent series
Review: I loved this series. It's not just for kids, I'm a 25 year old man, with a 5 year old daughter. I'm totally in love with the characters in these books, Harry, Ron and Hermione are among my all time favorite characters. I read all 4 books in one week, couldn't put them down. On two occasions I was up until 5am reading, I just couldn't stop. You won't regret buying these books. I'll be first in line for the next one in the series.

Summary: Children's classics? No way! These are way better!
Review: These are books for all ages... maybe even a little more for adults than children (at leas the fourth book is).
Many people have told me they don't want to read Harry Potter because they think the only reason they are popular is because of the merchandise. Well, that's not true.
These are very original, easy to read and wonderful books that will take you into a world you wish existed. Once I read this I wanted to be in Hogwarts too!
This is a must-read for all fantasy readers of all ages.

Summary: A wonderful series.
Review: Harry Potter is a wonderful new series. Rowling succesfuly paints a picture in your mind, a writers main goal. Harry Potter is about a young boy named Harry, whos life is drastically changed. He is told that he's a wizard, and a famous wizard at that. The chracters chemistry is amazing. The characters work together like butter and bread. Each Harry Potter novel follows a different year in Harry's Hogwarts career. The books are an instant classic. They might be the most popular series ever, and for a god reason. The four books so far include Harry Potter and Sorcerors Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, HArry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. My favorite being the Goblet of fire. I would definetly reccomend this series to any fantasy fan.

Summary: Has nothing on J,R,R Tolkein
Review: Yes this is a good book, but only if you are 12 years old and have a mind so shallow that you could only handle a book such as this. Tolkien created a whole world, his own language and you can find yourslef emerged deep within middle earth on the voyage with Frodo and Sam. You can feel the tension and you feel for the caracters. To so many fans this book when read comes alive and you feel part of the fellowship. Harry potter is just an ordinary book, but yes to a child it is a great fantasy, which to me is just there as a warm up for The Lord of the Rings.

Summary: Simply magickal!
Review: I am not really sure what made me choose to start reading these books. I am a very picky reader I read a lot but my attention is difficult to hold. There have been many books I put down after the first chapter or even half way through because I get bored with the story. Not Harry Potter. From the moment I picked up the first installment I was completely enthralled and am now wondering what I am going to read until the next one. I have this feeling I will be completely bored until I can return to Hogwarts. Reading these other books is kind of like living with the Dursley's. Miserable. I definitely recommend this series to young and old. On a personal note: Parents do not buy into all the hype that these books are ruining your kid's morals and turning them to witchcraft. These books are amazing works of fiction. Most encourage their kids to read the Lord of the Rings or watch Star Wars and the Wizard of Oz which are just as mystical and magical. Try to remember when you were young and thought you could fly or fight evil with magical powers. Return to your youth and read these amazing books with your children.

Summary: Harry Potter Obsession
Review: When the Harry Potter movie came out, I wasn't quite sure what it was. I'm 20 years old and I worked at a daycare and it's the only thing the kids talked about. It took me awhile before I actually took the time to rent the movie and see what all of the fuss was about. I saw the movie and I thought it was absolutely amazing. I saw the movie now 7 times and it never gets boring! Now I buy all the cute Harry Potter products. The first thing I bought was this book collection. I just got it in the mail today. It is a beautiful set and I received it quick! I can't wait to read them as the movie goes on. I definately recommend this bookset!

Summary: Best to get the book set.
Review: I originally picked these books up for my son, for a little bit of bedtime reading. After the first twenty pages, and my son being fast asleep, I stayed up and finished the book that night. The books are everything I could have hoped for, funny, motivating, witty, well written, and extremely moral.

The characteristics of Harry and his friends demonstrate the foibles of youth, but also the potential for greatness, accomplished through hardwork (Hermione), talent (Harry), and loyalty and humour (Ron and the other Weasleys).

Great reading, but be warned: these books are extremely hard to put down.
