Summary: Magic and Wizards can mean only one thing, Harry Potter
Review: At first I was skeptical about reading the Harry Potter Series. They seemed to be childish and very boring. After hours of getting annoyed by my friends to read the book, I picked the first book up and began to read it. I finished the book within two days because I was hooked on the book. It was an awesome book and it made a lot of sense to me. I thought the First Harry Potter book was the best book I had ever read until I got to the others. I would have to admit I like the third the best so far. I think that they are great for anyone who just wants to lose themselves in a bunch of excellent books. I recommend them to everyone in every age group.

Summary: Harry Potter, Jedi Knight!
Review: I really liked this book and since I am old enough to have gone to the first release of Star Wars I could see right away where Rowlings got here idea from, George Lucas!
Basically Harry Potter is Luke Skywalker only a wizard this time. We have Lord Voldemort better know as Lord Vader and so on. The parallels are so close that if I did not know better I would have thought I was reading Star Wars. I have read all four books now and Rowlings does take Harry off to other adventures and does come up with some of her own ideas so the series is not a total knock off of Star Wars. However, if you liked Star Wars, you will love Harry Potter! I found that I had a hard time putting the books down and stop reading. I want to see who turns out to be Harry's love interest... one might guess it will be Hermione, but I am betting on Ron and Hermione in the end which would be interesting. If Rowlings ever does write book five, six, and seven she will have a chance to take Harry to be a master wizard, more powerful than either Dumbledore or Voldemort. I am looking forward to what she really does and how she gets to where she is going.

I would recommend the Harry Potter series to children and adults. It is a good read and fun which is the goal of a good read. As for all the talk about book burning and the teaching of wizardry to children, I suppose those people really don't have much faith in there faith to be worried about a simple little fairy tail!

Summary: To Sum it Up
Review: Reviewing the books as a set rather than focusing on the individual issues of each...

The series is absolutely enchanting for readers of any age. Once you read the first book, you'll very likely find yourself desperately wanting to read the others. Going straight to buying the boxed set rather than slowly picking up each individually is a great way of saving yourself the stress of too much obsessing over what happens next.

Summary: Guilty Pleasure
Review: Harry Potter is a guilty pleasure.
I was highly entertained by the first 4 books, I eagerly await the next 3 and all the movies. I *know* that there are plot holes, contrivances, and other reasons to criticize. But Harry Potter is *fun*. I think that the world could use a little fun, don't you?
One big reason that my pleasure is "guilty" is that poor Harry has been merchandised to death. It bugs me a bit. Sigh, at least it's not as bad as "Lord of the Rings" action figures...

Summary: Harry Potter Series 1-4
Review: These books catch your attention and stretch your imagination from the first page. I could not put them down. I started reading about Harry Potter after the fourth book was published. I was skeptical about reading them. I thought they were for young children and would hold no interest to me. However, once my friend got me to read the first book, I immediatly borrowed the rest. I read them one right after the other and could not stop. Each book gets more complex and the story of poor Harry becomes more real. JK Rowlins does a great job of bringing you into Harry's life and you find yourself gasping at his perilous journeys. I would highly recommend reading this series for anyone of any age. I am also greatly anticipating the release of the fifth book.

Summary: Lisa and Jenna's Review
Review: Harry Potter is a very good book for the childs imagination. It teaches them to read and use their minds. Yet when they read it they learn to believe in Witch craft, that is bad. Harry potter would be a great book if the writter was Christian. The writter is a VERY great story teller and deserves alot of credit. I just think if she was Christian she would have told it in a different way.

Summary: Some of the Greatest Fiction Ever
Review: In a word, incredible. These have got to be some of the best fiction novels on the planet and have really helped inspire my writing. I've read each Harry Potter book nearly straight through the first time and the only reasons I stopped were for little things like sleep and school. I've also read them all at least ten times. They're that good.
The books follow the story of Harry Potter, a boy who's spent his whole life living with his cruel aunt, uncle, and cousin. Until one day he finds out that he's special, that he's a wizard. And not just any wizard. Long ago he survived an attack by the greatest evil wizard in centuries. An attack that killed his parents... But somehow young Harry survived and on that same night the evil wizard Voldemort vanished. Now eleven years later Harry discovers a magical world he knew nothing about as he goes off to the wizarding school Hogwarts, there to meet new friends and old enemies...
The story, characters, and writing in these books in superb and the climaxs will leave you shocked, surprised, and eager for more. If you're one of the few people who haven't yet read Harry Potter (yes, all five of you) this is a great time to start.

Summary: Sucked me in
Review: The best children's books are those that kids love but also have meaning for adults. There are timeless and current themes about growing up. I thought I'd just take a look and see what all the fuss was about. Surprise! I was sucked in and ended up staying up all night reading the first two!

Summary: The greatest book ever
Review: Wow! What else can i say. These are probably one of the best books I will ever read. Who ever though a childrens book could become so popular for children and adults alike. Harry Potter is the wonderful and magical story of a kid who learns he's a wizard and enters Hogwarts school of Magic. WE meets his aunt, uncle and cousin who are so disguntingly annoying is hilarious. But, as we enter the world of magic we meet many enjoyable and interesting characters. Through these book we embark in a magnificent adventure in which Harry Potter will learn the secrets and dangers of being the kid who destory Voldermont as a kid. J.K. Rowling employs a magnifent writing style that introduces the reader into this wonderful book from which we never want to leave.
