Summary: pleasing
Review: A delightful collection - fairly priced and nicely packaged. These are stories that have swept the globe because they re-ignite the arguably most precious natural resource at our disposal, IMAGINATION. How wonderful that this woman got the world reading again and most of all, restored stimulating, enriching conversation between children and adults. Common interests are sometimes hard to find; therein lies one of the many joys of Potter - the nurturing of common interests.

Summary: Join the magic, and fun....
Review: When I was in the fourth grade, a long time ago, I picked Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at my local Border's Store because it was on clearance for like $5.00. That was the best five dollars i have ever spent. I wanted to know what the obsession was with this book, and I figuired it out. I love these books. They are fun to read, and much better than Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings is very dry, whereas Harry Potter is more fun, modern, and interesting.
I finished the first book in 5 days, and moved on to the second one, and that one was even better. I was surprised that one great book can be followed by another great book.
The third came out, and that was wonderful. Then there was the wait. I reread, and reread, and reread those books until July 8, when I could get my hands on the fourth book.
The 4th book is probably the best, and I couldn't put it down. I sat for 12 hours, read that book, and finished it in one day.
These are the best books currently in exsistance. You should really read them.

Summary: People must be desperate
Review: these books are afwul. they just aren't a match for other books in their genre. Some people try comparing them to the Lord of the Rings. Not even Close. In musical terms, thats like comparing Britney Spears to Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. you just can't do that.

Also, if anyone actually thought they enjoyed Harry Potter, try Enders Game by Orson Scott Card, or the series "A Song of Ice and Fire", by George R.R. Martin, which is the best series aside from The Lord of the Rings.

Also, read the Silmarillion. If you dont, you lose.

Summary: You Gotta Buy it!
Review: These books are top selling books! I have read all 4 and love it. I always keep rereading them because they are fun to read and you can always come up with something you misread or didn't pay enough attention to. You don't regret it!

Summary: Just had to say this
Review: You're right, all of you. This is the best book I've read so far! It has great descriptions, wonderfully detailed caracters and J.K really knows how to keep the reader on edge by ending the book with a dramatic climax. Can't say no more here, I'm swedish so my vocabulary is a bit limited.

Summary: This is Great!
Review: I loved these books. Being in high school many people think that these books are too geared to the younger audiance but I think they are just great. I loved reading them and they kept me on the edge of my seat. I even got in trouble with my teachers because I had a hard time setting htem down. I would recommend these to people of all ages who like to read while using their imagination.

Summary: Not just for kids!
Review: My husband convinced me to read the books after he saw and LOVED the first Harry Potter movie. The books get longer and more complicated with each title and they are just GREAT. We couldn't put them down. We've already pre-ordered book 5. We hope to see these books on reading lists for kids in schools. They are good, clean fun and really stir up the imagination.

Summary: Pure enchantment awaits the reader...
Review: J.K. Rowling managed to write a book, which soon became a national phenomenon read by children of all ages. Her masterpieces have captured the imagination of children all around the world. These books are about a regular boy living in the Muggle world, growing up, and descovering new worlds of magic, and things that he thought only existed in dreams. This hero, who has managed to overcome his almost deadly experiances with Voldemort, is just a regular kid. For his definition of "regular" is completely different. Where he comes from, he is just as regular as anyone else. These books shall capture the readers' attension by revealing adventures, mythological creatures, and three best friends, who keep getting into trouble, but become hero's again. The Sorcerer's Stone is a story of a boy, growing up with a miserable life, and with miserable people. But such a shock comes to him, when his identity is completely revealed (or so he thinks) The Chamber of secrets, has more mythology in it, more dark, evil, and more adventurous material, that has the reader begging for more. The Prisoner of Azkaban, is another great sequel, with just as much adventures as the first two. The Goblet of Fire, best yet. Has the most adventures in it. Mer-people, veela, death-eaters, and much more within. These four books, part of a soon to come seven book series, are the best fantasy, adventure, and best books, that you can ever imagine.

Summary: Beautiful!
Review: Even if you don't read them these books are beautiful just sitting on the shelf. But, they are also so great, you can't help but read them.

Summary: Adult fan's opinion
Review: I purchased these books to see what all the popular hype was about. I was skeptical about whether or not they would live up to their reputation. I was SO SURPRISED !!!!!!
Even though the recommended age is 9-12, I would recommend them for older age groups, as well. The author infuses the story with twists, tricks and clues that adults will appreciate - particularly if you recall your college history and mythology courses !!
I am eagerly awaiting book 5 - An EXCELLENT read - well worth the purchase.
