Rating: Summary: The Very Hungry Caterpillar Board Book Review: You kids (ages 2-5) are in for a treat as the caterpillar eats and the reader reads through the book. This book has plenty of fingerholes for kids to use when each section is read. Very entertaining for both reader and listener!
Rating: Summary: The Best Kids Book Review: I am a young mother to be and i remember taking this book out of my library almost daily when i was in kindaergarten - 1st grade. This was by far my all time favorite book. I am definately going to buy this book for my daughter.
Rating: Summary: Great book to read and chew Review: I bought this board book for my one year old daughter several months ago; it is one of her favorites. She loves to flip through the smaller pages in the middle of the book and put her fingers in the holes that the caterpillar "ate" through. It has also withstood being a teething toy wonderfully. We will probably get her a paper copy when she is older.
Rating: Summary: A Must For Your Home Library Review: A very hungry caterpillar hatches out of an egg one Sunday morning and eats different foods each day of the week. When it is full, it makes a cocoon and transforms into a butterfly. This picture book will delight as well as instruct younger children, teaching them days of the week, some numbers, and the life cycle of the butterfly. I liked the book because of its appealing text and colorful pictures on die cut pages. The illustration on the last page will amaze you!
Rating: Summary: A classic Review: Highly recommended as a foundational piece in your child's library. Vivid colors keep my 4 month old's attention and I personally love the story which motivates me to read this book to my baby.
Rating: Summary: Hungry Caterpillar Review: My 2 year old son LOVES this book. Although I am tired of it (ha Ha) he will have us read it to him 5 times in a row. Definitely an excellent book for toddlers.
Rating: Summary: One of Eric Carle's greats Review: An excellant book! I am a third grade teacher. I always start the school year with this book in my animal/bug unit. They really enjoy it. It teaches the four stages of a butterfly and reinforces the days of the week as the larva nibbles away through something everyday. I love that its in board book so my 17 month old son can have his own copy.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME! Review: I love all of Eric's books and so does my son - this book helps him count and he loves what happens - this is an EXCELLENT book!
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This is an excellent book. It is about a hungry caterpillar who goes out looking for food on a very hot sunny day. It is a lift the flap book, so you actually get to see all the little holes that the little caterpillar crawls through to get to the food for the next day. This is a great book for all ages.
Rating: Summary: My baby girl loves all the tiny holes Review: I bought this book to my baby girl when she was 11-month old. and found she loves all the tiny holes in the book. She doesn't have much patient for the first few page, can't wait to turn to the apple, pears, plums...... The tiny holes are perfect for her tiny fingers. The board book is perfectly designed. It uses different sizes for different fruits. Very attactive to the one-year old baby.
