Rating: Summary: stunned and speechless Review: A great read! Two thumbs up to Pascal! Gaia Moore knows all about street thugs and muggers, attitude and sarcasm, independency and loneliness, after all she lives in New York City. Seventeen years of living in the real world has taught her not to trust anyone. Especially scum like her father who abandoned Gaia right after her mother was murdered. Gaia's instict for trouble puts her life in danger everyday. But being fearless does have its advantages . . .
Rating: Summary: Addicted Review: When I first saw this book I wasn't too eager to read it. After a while of collecting dust I picked it up and gave it a shot. I am now on book 8 and don't know what I would do with out these books. Whenever I have time I am engulfed in one of the many Fearless books. I have told all my friends about this book because it has such an elaborate plot yet is easy to follow. It never fails to leave me wanting to know what's going to happen next.
Rating: Summary: Fearless Review: I rated this book with five stars. Francine Pascal is diferent type of auther than what I'm used to reading. This is the first book I've read by her and plen to read all of her other fearless books. The reason this got five stars because the book is about a girl who is strong and she takes careof herself. The girl ,Gaia, gets into fights and beats people up, but herself gets beat-up as well. Another thing is that this one girl is Gaia's stepaunt is secerately having an affair with this kid, but this kid ,Marco, is also the one getting into fights with Gaia. I reccomend this book for grades 7th - 9th because of the violence and vulgar languge. Along with some sexual content. This book isalso reccomended for people who like realistic ficton and hearing about people getting in fights. Overall, it's a different type of book that I'd reccomend if you want to try something new, then go ahead read it.
Rating: Summary: Best Series Ever Written Review: The Fearless series is the best series that I have ever read and believe that it's the best ever written. No other books have captured my interest as much as Fearless. Every book leaves you hanging, and wanting more. It's like an addiction. While reading these books, the reader actually feels like they are living this girl's life (Gaia). One becomes so absorbed into the storyline that it's very difficult to tear yourself away. Even if you aren't an avid reader, this series will keep you coming back for more.
Rating: Summary: She prefers the term hormonally challenged. Review: Gaia not your average teenager, she's different. She always has been and she always will be. Gaia was born without the fear gene. She doesn't get scared, and because of this her father trained her to protect herself. He made her learn things some kids never have to learn. But now her father, and also her mother, is out of the picture. She is now living with one of her dad's old friends, George, and his wife, Ella. At night she goes to the park to look for thugs who prey on the weak looking, when they go after her she shows them that looks can be deceiving. So when Gaia goes to school and finds out that a girl was attacked in the park, in her park, so Gaia makes it her mission to find the jerks that did it and stop them. This book starts off a really great series. The ending satisfies you but leaves an opening for the next book.
Rating: Summary: A great start for the teen series FEARLESS Review: The series FEARLESS begins with an amazing start -- certain points of this book I felt I could not turn away from, and the author Francine Pascal writes this with a dark, gripping expression. Gaia Moore is a unique seventeen-year-old girl -- she is born without the gene that makes us afraid of things. Without the fear gene, she laughs in the face of death and goes up against brutal enemies who stalk the city late at night -- and with an attitude as her's , anyone that messes with her learns the hard way. Very much like Rachel from the ANIMORPHS series by K.A. Applegate, but very different -- Gaia soon learns that although she can never fear anything, she is human -- and a human has guilt, no matter how fearless they are. Francine Pascal begins her new series with an awesome, intense kickoff -- for the ending, which is creepily satisfying, will leave the reader wanting more and more of the Fealess series.
Rating: Summary: My Definate Favorite! Review: When I first got this book it was a gift from my grandparents and so for about a year it just sat on my shelf. Then, one day I came across it and since i wasnt reading anything at the time i decided to give it a try. I didnt know what to expect from it considering i had not heard about the book from any of my friends b/c most of them are not the reading type. Anyways about 20 pages in i was HOOKED! I just knew that I was going to love this series more then any other i had read. Gaia's problems and insecurities caught me! And the connection between her and Sam was the one that I have always dreamed of having. I read about half of the book that night and the next night i finished it. As soon as possible I ran out and bought the next 3 books and in about a week and a half they were done and i had to go back to the book store to get the next 3. Unfortuneatly, they were out of some of the series so i had to wait in anticipation for them to come in. It was very hard considering the goodness of the books and the anticipation that they keep you in. I started the series in late October/early November and as of 2 days ago (January 3) i just finished #12. That might seem like a long time if i was burning through the books so fast but you have to put in the time for waiting to get the next books, other events happening in my life that would keep me from reading. i just ordered the 13th of the series and cannot wait for it to arrive! This is definately my favorite series out there and I recomend it to any young female. I believe this book would appeal more to girls in their teens. Believe me there is no way that you could pass up on this series. And if you are thinking about starting reading it, you must start at the begining because if you start later into the story, you will just be confused and wont be able to enjoy the story. If you do start with this book, dont skip around b/c you will miss something important that effects other events in the books.
Rating: Summary: this book rocks my socks off Review: yes, this book is definitely not the normal teen novel and that is why I think I enjoyed it so much. It always kept me on my feet and I can't wait to read more of them. I hope the author keeps on writing these because this book rocks. the only thing was if you don't like books with curse words, don't read this...aside from that I LOVED THIS BOOK. buy it now kids!
Rating: Summary: Great Stuff Review: This book is incredible. From the time I picked it up I was in awe. I mean a girl kickin' but and not be scared? How cool is that? Gaia is a truely one of a kind. You'll want to read more and more and you can cause it's a series. It's great stuff.
Rating: Summary: Fearless, 1 Review: Fearless which was written by Francine Pascal is to say the least a very interesting book. It's filled with excitement, action, love, mystery, and friendship. It's about a young girl named Gaia, who is 17. She was trained in karate, judo, jujitsu, and muay thai. Which makes her a very formidable opponent. For some reason Gaia can't seem to stay out of trouble. Perhaps its because she walks through the park at night. Not just any park...She can usually overcome her attackers thanks to her skills in self-defense, however her most recent fight puts her in the hospital along with the object of her affection Sam Moon. ... I have yet to read Fearless, 2 but I'm sure it's just as exciting as the first book was. I can't wait to read it. I would recommend book #1 to any girl. Because it shows a girl who isn't afraid of anything, which in my opinion is a great way to go through life.
