Summary: Still on shaky ground
Review: The Sweet Valley eartquake carries on. In it: OLIVIA is crushed by a fridge. DEVON shows his true colours -so does JESSICA! ELIZABETH lies in danger of death Oh,will Sweet Valley ever be the same again!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Suspenseful and eye-opening
Review: This book isn't what I really expected, but it was suspenseful and I wanted to see what's going to happen. But this book still leaves us suspenseful and you have to read the next one to really know for sure who's going to make it and what will happen to the city.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book I've ever read!
Review: This book was absolutely BRILLIANT! It's my favourite Sweet Valley High book and I couldn't put it down. It was really sad when Olivia died, and I felt like crying. If you read this book be sure to get 'Aftershock' the follow on, as it's as good as this one!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book told a story of friendship in the time of need
Review: This book was an excellant! It was a tragety, yet it was action-packed, and told a story of friendship, and what friends will do for each other. The plot was perfectly clear, and I think that it is a perfect book for anyone from the ages 10-16. This book made me realize how amazing some books are. I've read a lot of books in this series, and this was one of the best!!! I'm sure that you'll enjoy reading this book!

Summary: Awww! This is sooooo sad!
Review: This book was so sad. I can't believe [she] died. I meaneverything was going so good for her... Then, I think I would have died if I had to watch a 12 year old fall to her death and hear her scream! I just wish it had been snobby Lila die instead... That was sweet how Steven rushed to his loved one!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I'll never look at sweet valley high the same.

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: THIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!111
Review: this is an awesome book. most of the Sweet Valley books are a little unrelistic, but this could happen antime to real people. I started reading it at11:00 and Icouldn"t put it down I stayed up till 3 on a school night.i think its great how everything works out but I criedwhen Alyssa, a little girl that Jessica tries to save, dies. and its reallysad when Olivia dies too.

Summary: Well done Ms. Pascal!
Review: This is truly an amazing work of art. I wish in a way I could go back in time 45 years, to when I was in high school, and be presented with such an emotionally, charged, well-written novel. I am afraid that in my coddled youth I may not have been up to the task, unfortunately. If I was one of those really hard-nosed high school teachers, like Crazy Joe Clark in "Lean on Me," my students would read nothing but Sweet Valley High. I do not believe there is anything better suited to preparing "real-world" kids to the emotional and physical trials and tribulations of life today.

The context of a devastating earthquake sets a perfect stage. As she lies buried under the rubble, Jessica Wakefield laments her family's tragic history of emotional, and yes, physical, abuse. As I read I could feel the conflicting emotions she experienced as the rubble cleared above her. The light revealed not only a hope of continued life, but also the scowling face of her abusive and perverted father. Meanwhile, just yards away her sister Elizabeth, the "flighty" twin, worries about her missing press-on nail (right ring finger).

I have read nearly 200 novels centering on these characters, but I realize that I never really KNEW many of them until picking up this book and watching the grotesque physical disfigurements many were faced with, and the utter devastation in their lives...

Overall, I must give this book 5 stars. Within the genre of tragic teen drama, "Earthquake (Sweet Valley High Super Edition)" gives "Romeo and Juliet" a run for its money. Only time will tell if this book achieves the cult status of "R&J," but I do believe that "Earthquake (Sweet Valley High Super Edition)" is significantly better written.
