Summary: An Excellent Thematic Collection For Teaching
Review: This is an excellent collection of stories dealing with the complexities of identity and identification. Although the book is marketed as young adult, every story in it is worthy of serious academic study. I have taught it every year for the past six years and am always amazed at how the collection itself is better than the sum of its parts. Each story raises and plays off issues that the others deal with. If you want to teach a thematic unit on the issue of friendship, enmity, or identity this is the only book you need. Alternatively, you could use this as a great introduction to a novel that deals with the same issues.

Note to amazon editers: post the table of contents for this book; it's its finest selling point.
