Summary: A touching story of love and lies
Review: A story of a boy named Jeff and what he had to go through through the years. When his mother walked out when he was in 2nd grade he was deeply hurt. Through the years he acted with no emotion like his father. He never showed signs of hurt or happiness. His mother was never heard from until he fell very ill. Finally after 5 years of waiting his mother invited him to visit her for a summer. After that touching visit he acted human again. But he doesn't remeber how much it hurt when she left. Leaving his heart open she could easily rip it out with an emotional blow that would turn him against her. And she did. Now with him hurt once before, he might not be able to love again.

Summary: A Solitary Blue<<3 stars>>
Review: I rate this book with three stars. I think this book would be a good book for a young adult to read, and maybe some adults. I think this book starts off at an okay level. It's sort of boring, all that is written is that Melody, the main chracter's (Jeff)mom, left him at seven. Then it just goes through Jeff's life and how he deals with the fact that Melody left. At the end of the book, A solitary Blue, states what Jeff has to go through, because later Jeff and his father, the Professor, have to deal with the fact that melody wants a divorce and wants custody of Jeff. Both Jeff and the Professor don't want Melody to have custody of Jeff. When this part of the book comes up, I think this is when the book becomes very interesting, because you don't know what to expect from Melody and what she is capable of doing to be able to finally get custody of Jeff. This is why I rate "A Solitary Blue" with three stars, it's interesting, but not as interesting as let's say a murder/mystery story.

Summary: A decent, interesting book.
Review: The book was pretty decent, it sort-of had a depressing theme to it, however. I think this author is very good considering the elment of depression caused by the sad life of Jeff in the story. The ending could have been a bit more uplifting and happy. I would definately spend the money on this book. I think it is worth buying.

Summary: OK but could be better
Review: I think that it's just Cynthia Voigt's way of writing. It good, though because she's my favorite author. Some parts were really boring and some were really exciting. I put myself in Jeff's place, and how his mother really hurt him, it seemed like it was about Ms.Voigt's real life. I was a wonderful book, though.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You definitely want 2 get around 2 reading this book
Review: This book was a very good book. In this book you could not figure out what was going to happen at the end and when the end unfortunatly comes around you are suprised at what happens. Some of the characters even change their personality just like in the real world or even how Jeff looks at them. It was a really good book. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The characters will touch you deeply.
Review: This book was a terrific book. The characters Ms. Voight has created are so strong. The main character has gone through so much in his life that he has become strengthened. This book is filled with love, hate, and forgiveness.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Read it again and again!
Review: I'm an adult but I love this book and read it again and again. There's just something very heartfelt about the story of this lonely boy who gets several different views of love and family. It's about the kind of person that attracts immediately: bright, beautiful, engaging, but selfish, self-centered, and brief; and the kind of person you want to spend the rest of your life with: constant, honest, responsible and with integrity.
