Rating: Summary: A wonderful book for anyone who's ever had a best friend... Review: This novel has the power to knock you off your feet, leave you feeling good at the end, and still manages to be extremely readable and enjoyable. I strongly reccomend this book to any and all who want to do a little soul searching and a little crying. (or alot of crying)
Rating: Summary: This story shows feelings and reactions. Review: This book is the most beautiful story that I personally have ever read. It shows the major feeling about how the best friends felt about this. I think that Julie had a hard time getting through this but she acted as though any other person would have. I think that for Samantha it was especially hard knowing that your best friend could die.Samantha was a big influence on Julie and got her through most of her pain. ( Even though Julie was always upset with her in some way.) I think that Samantha and Julie will always be best friends even with Julie in heaven. Question: When will the sequal come out for A Time For Dancing?
Rating: Summary: An Excellent book that all Girls should read Review: A Time for Dancing is a excellent written book, that shows how two best friends deal with a terminal illness. The book also shows the obstical a friendship faces. After reading this book you will realize that your problems really aren't that bad. This book is a book every teenage girl should read.
Rating: Summary: This could possibly be the best book I've ever, ever read! Review: A Time for Dancing was so wonderful, I could not stop crying even after I finished, this book touched my heart not like any other has. I felt that I knew both girls and had a connection with them since I too take ballet and the strange thing is one of my dance teachers name is Linda and I have a good friend named Julie. This was a very hard book to read in the fact that you knew what was going to happen, but when and how it was going to end. I think Davida Wills Hurwin is one of the best authors I've read, thank you for writing and publishing this book, it truely was amazing and inspirational...I'm looking forward to sequal....I hope it is as good as this one.....I would totally thing everyone should read this book, it should be a novel for english classes everywhere...all I can say is WOW!!!!!
Rating: Summary: BEST BOOK!!!! Review: I loved this book. i really felt like i knew sam and juls. i never knew about how amazing a book could be and i really feel that i sam and juls were alive, they could be my best friends
Rating: Summary: This book is abot best friends who get separated from cancer Review: This book is about best friends until the end but the end came too soon for them. Their names were Julie and Samantha. They were inseparable dancers until the day. The day in dance class that Jules had gotten terrible pains all over her body. She went from doctor to doctor and never found the problem. Until one day she found her answer to all the pains. She was diagnosed with cancer. How could this be? Why her? These quesitons were asked many times. She went through the awful experience of chemotherapy. She just wasn't herself. I felt like I knew the characters and I could relate to what the characters were thinking. She had no energy basically and she and her best firend were drifting apart. They had been best friends since they were 7 years old. What was happening? Samantha felt like she did not know Jules at all. At the end of the book Samanthat gets called in th hospital room and then you will see what happens. I really recommend this book and I hope you will enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: An emotional book that'll make you look at life differently. Review: A Time for Dancing was beautifully written, from the dialoge that made you feel as if you were there yourself to the way Ms.Hurwin took you into Sam and Jules' personal thoughts and inner-self. This book seems to make you realize that you can't take life forgranted. After you read about Sam's undying friendship for Jules and how Jules pushed her away, for fear she was feeling guilty for her and her cancer ordeal. You will truly understand the real meaning of frienship, the gift of life, and you will cry uncontrobally (even if you didn't cry in Titanic)!
Rating: Summary: NOT sappy! Review: This is the type of book that snobs like me look at and say, "Typical. Not worth reading. The girl's gonna die and the other one is going to go on about how brave she was. Yadda yadda yadda." But that's not how it is. It's really real, like this is how I'd act if I had cancer, and it's not got the perfect storybook ending either. I've read this book about a zillion times and loved it every time. Oh by the way, thou tough one, you will bawl at the end... snotty teary nasty out and out bawling, if you know what I mean. It's a really good book, and if you have the time, you should read it.
Rating: Summary: One Of The Best Books Review: My young adult libraryan chosed this book for me and told me that I would like it. I loved it this is my second time reading it and just loved it for the 2nd time. Best friends Julie and Sam were best friends and than Jules got cancer and even though Sam tried to be there for her Jules thought she needed to be on this "road" by herself so she shut her out. If you love reading than you have to read THIS book!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful Page-Turner! Review: Best Friends since they were nine years old, Sam and Jules love each other with all their might. When Jules gets diagnoased with Cancer, Sam does every thing she can do for Jules. With the two of them alternating chapters, they will let you share their ups and downs. READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!
