Rating: Summary: Ingredients: This book, a comfy chair, and a storm Review: This book created a mood like no other book I have ever read. Beautifully told, it gives you the physiological story of Rapunzel, the witch, and of course, Prince Charming who happened to be named Konrad. Zel is a wonderful character capable of charming the reader's imagination in 5 seconds flat. The mother is the villian, an interesting twist of fate. She, like all bad guys, keeps the pages turning. However, the lust and love between Konrad and Zel is what incaptivated me the most. The book is a straightforward read. I loved it and give it a thumbs up. HOWEVER, there is some objectionable material, though not graphic, that should be taken into considertion before losing yourself in the pages of this enchanting book.
Rating: Summary: An exellent telling of Rapunzel. Review: I think this was a wonderful book, I couldn't put it down. I think that if you are mature enough to handle it you should read it. I defintally wouldn't read this to a 4th grader or even a 5th grader. But I think it has a lot of good symbolizm with an exellent message to everyone.

Rating: Summary: I'm a kid, I loved it Review: This book was the best book that I have ever read.Even though I'm still in my young teens, I've read a lot of books, and I have never read a book like this before. All you people out say, "oh, its to descriptive" but you know what? Most kids the ages that this book was made for know what she's talking about!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Must Read! Review: This book was really fun to read and always surprised you with the new things you had never heard about in the fairy tale. It was really good but I think it should be focused on older readers.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful, definately one that will bring tears to your eye Review: I think every girl should read this book at least once during your teenage years
Rating: Summary: Ah, never ceases to entertain Review: ZEL is a story of love between a wishful young man and a female with little experience in everything there is in life. Unlike most other books that I read, the supporting cast is also elegantly developed, each with a character of it's own. Rich in content while keeping the plot simple. A true child's tale. Great to read aloud. By the way, the pregnancy is hard for kids to figure out. It's not blurted out bluntly, it's a metaphore. Many little kids will not catch it, and if they do, they won't know for sure what it is.
Rating: Summary: Not for young readers... Review: I have to say the story was good but some parts a little too much for young readers. The parts of her mother selling her soul to the devil should be erased completely! and (i hate to sound dowdy) when the prince finally climbs up to her and ...well she gets pregnant. To many graphic details that were inappropiate for I'd say under 6th grade.
Rating: Summary: It was a wonderful romantic book. Review: I think it is a good book for 5th graders and older or for very mature 4th graders. Because some parts are too strange. It is a detaild version of Rapunzel that fills in the blanks in the traditional version. In the traditional version it never says how she got preagnet and in this book it does and that is why it is more for mature people.
Rating: Summary: it changed my thoughts Review: I loved the rich historical language, very unique and fun to read. I liked how the author used this well known fairy tale and created her own just as unique as Ella Enchanted by Gail Levine and Beauty by Robin Mckinley; very rarely do you get beautiful retellings that change your idea of the original.
