Summary: Much different from the other Daine books
Review: I've always loved Daine, even more than Alanna, but somehow this book manages to be my least favorite of the Immortals quartet. I really don't know why, since everything that occurs to me to say about it is good. I don't know. It may just be because I don't like Carthak, and the first two Daine books (Wild Magic and Wolf-speaker) were pretty similar in setting. I didn't like messing around with the Hag goddess, either. However there is plenty to like about this book. I didn't much like the actual plot, but the best parts all have to do with character: seeing Daine becoming aware of another side of the Stormwings, seeing how Daine reacts to believing Numair's dead, getting new insights into Numair as he returns to his past, his old friends and enemies, and the site of his imprisonment. And of course there's Numair's fierce protectiveness of Daine, in spite of himself, and Daine's creeping feelings of jealousy when confronted with the shapely blond Varice. And as always, Daine can really take care of herself, and she's always treated as an equal by her Tortallan friends, which is very pleasing to read about.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Emperor Mage was incredibly suspensful and well-written.
Review: Out of the two previous books, Emperor Mage shows more intertwining plots, more enchantments, and more suprises than either Wild Magic or Wolf-Speaker. The appearance of the new Graveyard Hag and old friends(?) such as Lord Rushak the Stormwing add color and life. The climactic chase at the end has the reader experiencing page after page of heart-pounding suspense. Definetely a five-star book.

Summary: I love this book!!!!!
Review: In this, Tamora Pierce's third about Daine, Daine is sent to Carthak on a peace delegation. She makes new friends, and her friend Numair has to reveal his real feelings for her. I loved it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You can't put it down after the first page!
Review: I loved this book!! Usually I find fantasy novels fun, but their plots always seem unrealistic. This book changed my mind about that! I could almost feel the emotions running through everyone's minds, and how Ms. Pierce added details like getting dressed and going to the bathroom made you see the characters as humans. Humans with magical abilities and amazing friends, but humans, like you or me. I can't say enough good things about all of The Immortals and the Song Of The Lioness books. I loved them all so much!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A CLASSIC
Review: This book ranks right up there with the best books of fantasy and Juv. Lit. Pierce's writing is impossible to put down; Daine's adventures in Carthak are never boring and the finale is spectacular. Tamora Pierce is one of my favorite authors, and this book, along with the whole quartet, is her best work to date.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A crowd-pleaser
Review: A magical entry in Ms.Pierce's second saga leaves readers of all ages begging for more. If your not clueless (and most of you aren't,I hope) you can definatly see something brewing between Numair and his student mage the stubborn heroine, Daine. She obviously has feeling for this guy I mean look what she did to the palace!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: BEST of de BEST!!
Review: Out of the whole Daine series, this is my favourite book of them all! It is a MUST GET book of all Tamora Pierce fans, no kidding! I've read all of her books so far and it is really good to know what happened to Alanna and she is still the same. (example : Alanna still HATES formal functions)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This was one book I didn't risk putting down - I'd go crazy!
Review: I've read Wild Magic, and Wolf-Speaker, and I think this one was the best. I don't know why - please don't ask. But this one involved the Gods more than the ones before, and, well, this one had more action, and was more thrilling. It can sure keep one's heart racing! One of my all-time favorites, and when you read the ammount of books I do, a rating like that is hard to come by. Superb!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great book.
Review: I found this book when I was searchin' for the Song of the Lioness Quartet. It was the first in the Immortal series that I read. I instantly liked Numair and Daine. The plot offered was excelent. And why's Numair gettin' so protective of Daine? I guess we'll find out in the next book.
