Rating: Summary: New Setting, No Disappointments. Review: Daine, Numair, Alanna, Kitten, and all the other regular faces of Pierce's Tortall books set off to the until now background nation of Carthak, a hostile empire south of Tortall, as a peace delegation. However, as always, they find themselves embroiled in magical and political issues alike, as the Emperor ignores and attempts to replace the gods. Daine's Wild Magic, and the help of a foreign Goddess, may be the only thing that can save the empire, and preserve the fragile peace between Carthak and Tortall. This book is the first venture into Carthak. It doesn't disappoint; the country's culture and climates are deep and complete, and they weave perfectly into the themes already established by the other books. The adventure doesn't stop either; in fact, it steps up from the adventure in the last book, which was probably the slowest of the series. There are new elements shifting in the subtext; a future romance, a formidable, angry villian, and answers to some very nagging questions.
Rating: Summary: Emperor Mage Review: This is one of my favorite books. It is so amazing. Anyone who doesn't like this book doesn't have a life. I love reading her books because they make me feel like I'm in the book. Any author who can do that has got to be the best author in the world!
Rating: Summary: Emperor Mage Review: Daine and Numair, along with other of her royal friends such as Alanna and Duke Gareth, are sent to Carthak's as diplomats. They are hoping to sign a peace treaty with Carthak and, in the process, Daine must also heal the Emperor Ozorne's birds. However, the gods are angry at Carthak, especially at Ozorne, since the inhabitants no longer take the time to worship them. While in Carthak, Daine discovers new places and customs and must always be on the lookout for her manners while she is visiting this foreign place. During her trip, she makes new friends, such as the Emperor's heir, Lindhall Reed and a marmoset named Zek. However, some people proove to be quite troublesome: the Graveyard Hag, one of Carthak's gods and Ozorne among them. This beautiful, exotic vacation turns out to be a living inferno for Daine and her friends. Ozorne's treacherous ways soon puts Tortall in great peril. However, with the help of Daine's faithful friends and her close connection with animals, she manages to save Tortall and her friends...for now. This new adventure is filled with new characters and a new place. Discovering Carthak was a real pleasure and very adventurous as well. Tamora Piere fans will definitely not be deceived by this new addition to The Immortals series.
Rating: Summary: Totally Awesome Review: This is, in my opinion, the best of the Daine books. This girl really gets into things when she loses her temper. The vivid details make you see in your mind the chaos that an angry Daine can create with the help of all of her friends.
Rating: Summary: LOVE IT!!! Review: This is my absoulute faveroite book in the series! I have read it over 10 times, and each time it gets better and better! The Immortals series is my second faverotie series by Tamora Pierce, and I love it. I love animals, so Daine is is like a dream for me. Many times I have wanted to be her. Rating: Summary: Emperor Mage Review: Emperor Mage is very good book by Tamora Pierce. It follows Daine as she goes to Cathark with a peace comittee from Tortall, which includes Duke Gareth, Duke Gareth the Younger, Lord Martin, Alanna, and Numair besides Daine. Daine was sent by King Jonathan to heal Emperor Ozorne's birds, which are his only weakness. The Graveyard Hag, one of the Great Gods, hassles Daine throughout the book, something which Daine is flustered by. Seemingly good intentions by Ozorne turn evil, and Daine finds she may never see Numair, her friend and teacher, again. This is a very good book by Tamora Pierce. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm sure you will too. Be sure to read Emperor Mage, by Tamora Pierce.

But The emporer is Numair long time enemy. And although he seems nice there could be trouble, a prince who is taken with Diane, A graveyard hag who has seemingly come to life, and a whole new pwer for diane!! *At least for diane!!!* The ending is the greates thought!
Rating: Summary: Emperor Mage Review: This is a truely remarkable peice of literature. It is exciting, easy to fall into, and the characters are extremely likeable. I reccomend you reading the books in order, Wild Magic, Wolf-Speaker, followed by this one, but it is well worth the wait. Tamora Pierce is truely a genius who can work her own kind of magic.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Book! Review: Daine is off to Carthak on a mission to save the King Mage's precious birds, and to try to mend relations between Carthak and Tortall too! Along with Daine is the ever-present Numair her teacher and friend, and a mess of other wise and often humorous Tortallan characters. In Carthak, Daine meets the citizens of Carthak and realizes how the Carthakian economy is worsening because of the King Mage's lack of respect to the great gods. How Daine solves this Carthak problem is certainly worth the read of "Emperor Mage"! Tamora Pierce's insightful and engaging writing is also encouraing and spurs this third installment of "The Immortals" series to greater heights. The little pecks that Numair may have feelings for Daine that are more than "just friends" also keeps the reader rifling through the pages devouring this fantastic book. I strongly urge you buy "The Immortals" series today!
Rating: Summary: 10 stars Review: Loved it so much. This book was awesome. In it Daine goes with the kings concil who will be signing a peace treaty. Daine is with the company because the emporers birds are sick. When the bager god comes he gives Daine a new power. Something is wrong in Carthak. Something terribly wrong is coming.
