Rating: Summary: This book is a great read, perfect for fantasy fans! Review: The book is very imaginative, and is a must for all you fantasy readers. I LOVE fantasy books, and Tamora Pierce is my favorite author. It's time SOMEONE wrote a book with teenage-kids as the heroes. I found it fascinating, and I am a big fan of books about magic. The context draws the reader into the book. I couldn't put it down once I started! I have the whole series, and all of them tie together like pieces in a puzzle... they're perfect together! I absolutely rate this book, and the series, 5 stars. If not more.
Rating: Summary: Circle of Magic #2: Tris's Book Review: An exceptional work, Tris's Book will capture your interest at once- it did mine. The hard-hearted Trisana lights up a bit and truly comes through for her friends- and enemies. Very nice, worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: An excellent follow up! Review: If you thought Sandry's Book was good, you'll love Tris's Book! If anything, it's far better than the first one, with a lot more stuff happening, and the characters well fleshed out. Still, if it's an action filled fantasy thriller you're looking for, you won't find it here. This is a mainly character driven story without a lot of different things going on at once. Anyway, pirates have begun attacking Winding Circle in the aftermath of the devestating earthquake, while Tris's cousin Aymery appears, with a message from the family who rejected and ignored Tris, begging her to return to the side of her dying father. I won't say anything else to avoid spoiling the story, but trust me, this is a great book, good for kids of all ages, particularly the 9 to 12 age range. Older kids may feel a bit cheated reading a book about a bunch of ten year olds, but the author's skill got me over it quickly and I urge any fan of Tamora Pierce, young or old, to give this series a try.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book; if you liked the first one... Review: I like Tamora's books alot. I've read all the CIRCLE OF MAGIC books. Out of all of them, i like this one the most; because this book is so exciting all the way through. And i also have to admit, some of the parts in the other books, when lots of magic is occuring, it's not very clear. In this book, it's indeed more clear than the others. You can tell what's going on. I just like this book in general. I didnt really like the books from THE CIRCLE OPENS. And if you liked the first one, you'll love this one!
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Review: Tris is my favorite character. I love her attitude and how she can controll the weather. I like the way the book was specified. Not too many details and not too little. I think I might be adicted to these books and can't wait to read Daja's,but the thing I would like most is if there were more Circle of Magic books. The 4 is only because you can't make it a # and a half.
Rating: Summary: Growing Mages Review: This book was very good. The four young students are learning and experencing new things, inculuding how to manage and develop their powers. It is filled with suspencful and exciting wonderous things: any one who enjoys magical/fantasy books will truely enjoy this book. The end is especially exciting. This books shows just how powerful each young students magic can become, and how afraid they are of it -- especially in Tris's case. I do not wish to ruin the book for you, but it is defenitally worth reading. This book is just as good, if not better than the one that precede's it.
Rating: Summary: MY FAVE BOOK IN THE WHOL SERIES Review: The book focus's on Tris obviously, and Tris's couusin Aymery comes. If you remember Tris says somthing about Aymery in the 1st book. This is my favorite book besides the last ne beacause you get to have the WHOLE book with the plot and adventure! instead of just the end.
Rating: Summary: Spectacular! Review: After the earthquake, Winding Circle is rebuilding. What better a time for pirates than now? As pirates invade the coast, Tris, Briar, Sandry and Daja must fight to keep Winding Circle a thriving temple city.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good! Review: tris's book was pretty good but not as good as No.1.
Rating: Summary: Yay! My favorite character! Review: Tris is so my favorite character! After reading her book I wanted to be a weather witch. Impossible, of course, but I really did. Tris is the strongest of the four, and she has to be to conrol her magic. Sandry is too, how shall I say this, dull? And briar's good, but not like Tris is. Often He acts like her chaperone! Daja is also my favorite character,so its very hard fo me to chose, but I can relate more to Tris. I epecially loved the last battle with the pirates. They were realy able to show how strong they were.
