Rating: Summary: `~*Just Ella*~` Review: A fairy tale with a fun twist is exactly what the "Just Ella" is. With words that wonderfully decribe the surrounding and emotions...this book is awsome. A must read!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book to Read!!!!!! Review: I think this is a great book to read!! Except I didn't really like the ending...it seemed a little incomplete to me...like they needed more detail. But this is a great book you should buy!! Its like a behind the scenes of Cinderella thing.
Rating: Summary: Just Ella Review: This book is wonderful! You can never put it down. After I did a book report on it, all my friends wanted to read it, too! This book had some really funny parts, especially a character Madame Bissett. The prince was really a jerk though. In this book, Ella is a spunky girl who thinks for herself and makes her own destiny instead of waiting for things to happen. It has a great ending! So read it!
Rating: Summary: A new twist on a classic tale Review: What if Cinderella hadn't had a fairy godmother? What if she got herself into the ball through hard work and a little luck? What if she agreed to marry Prince Charming, only to discover she didn't really like him? Perhaps no other fairy tale has been revisited as much as the tale of Cinderella. I suppose we all identify with her escape from the drudgery of everyday life. In this refreshing tale by Margert Peterson Haddix, Ella has already been to the ball and agreed to marry the prince, only to discover that life at the palace isn't all that great. She has a lot to learn about not being a commoner, and the only friends she finds there are a young maid and her religion tutor, an idealistic young man only a few years her senior. Her time with Charm is limited, and she slowly discovers she doesn't really like him much at all. Her nemesis (ahem, etiquette instructor) is a well-drawn adversary, and the added conflict of living in a kingdom at war adds a very nice subplot and ultimately brings our heroine to the satisfying conclusion of the book. Ella's beauty frustrates her, because she's good a good mind, fed by her father, who was a book collector and scholar before he was killed trying to cross the border and get another book. The Charming family turns out to be not-so-charming, and they are the only characters who aren't as rounded as the others. This is a fun and interesting book, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys fairy tales, and in particular to anyone who enjoyed Gail Carson Levine's _Ella Enchanted_.

Rating: Summary: The Best Continuation to the Story Cinderella EVER Review: Just Ella is an awesome book. I would recomend it for ages 8-12. There are many continuations to the story Cinderella, but Just Ella is definintly the best!!! The way Margaret P. Haddix describes things is amazing and will lead you to be belive you are actually there. If you don't belive in miricales, this book will get you to belive that miricales happen!!!! Just Ella is a must read!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Very predictable. Character not really believable. Review: It was hard to fathom that such an independent-minded, likable, and thoroughly modern young woman could exist in the society described in the book. In addition, the plotline was extremely predictable--the minute the new tutor was introduced, it was obvious that she was going to fall in love with him and dump the prince. And, although I applaud anyone who wants to work with war refugees, the setup for her interest in this type of work is lame at best. Some of the situations the heroine describes are quite amusing, though. And, her tenacity as she tunnels her way out of the dungeon is admirable.
Rating: Summary: No Fairy Godmother Review: The book I am reviewing is Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix. My most favorite character was Ella because I liked how she was smart enough to get all the things she needed for the ball with no help at all. (That means no fairy godmother.) This story does not need illustrations because you could picture what's happening by the details the author writes. This is a really good book and I would recommend this book to everybody. This book is better than it sounds in this review.
Rating: Summary: Just Ella Review: Do you like the classic tale of Cinderella but wish that there was more adventure? Then join Ella in Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix. 15-year-old Ella is engaged to Prince Charming. But then she starts to realize that she doesn't have the same love for him as she once thought she had. As the story progresses, you can imagine almost every paragraph in your mind. This book takes the story of Cinderella into dramatic twists and turns. We think that this book will attract young adults everywhere, (particularly girls/women) because of its unpredictable plot. Some parts are not as interesting as others, but Haddix has done it again. ALA says that it is a best book for young adults and that it is a quick pick. We would strongly recommend this book for people who like classic, fantasy, and somewhat adventuresome books. So join Ella in her descriptive experiences. By: Katie Melissa Jones

Everything just fits together to make it an excellent book! I admire the author's innitiative to take a timeless fairytale and turn it around so that it sounds much more believeable! I'll be waiting for a sequel.
