Summary: This book is incredible
Review: GirlWise covers just about any situation I might be in where I need to be cool and calm and make a good impression. From job interviews to party planning, this book has it all. My fave is "How to write a poem." Very inspiring. All the women who give advice in this book are so cool and amazing. Awesome role models. It's like getting 100 mentors for different parts of life that are so important, all in one.

Review: I always said I would never want to relive my teenage years. Now that I have read this book, I would love to go back. This book could have saved me from a lot embarassment and depression. It is a must have for any teenage girl today. It's like having a user manual for teens. If you are a parent of a teen girl, you have to get this for her. She will love you for it. It answers the question every teen has, "Am I the only one that feels this way?" or "Does this only happen to me?".

Summary: it ROCKS!
Review: I just got this book for early Christmas. I cant put it down.Its really good! Ive been reading it for 2 days. My sisters 17 and she got a copy too and totally loves it too. its all out straight up the truth. My friends and I have been sitting in the lunch room reading the book out loud to know all this new stuff like fashion and like doing laundry and giving a speech in school. Theres nothing out there like it.

Review: I loved GirlWise, it contained so much wit and wisdom, and great advice that I wish that I'd known growing up, and am certain that I'll be able to use now. The book is an invaluable compilation of advice for teens and even adults....I found myself nodding at so much of what I was reading , thinking, gee, I really should be more like that.... I found myself wishing that I'd have known these things growing up...The introductions were both bittersweet and hilarious - DeVillers shares her wit and wisdom with us, and reminds us what it was like to be a teen...(be sure to check out her cringe-worthy prom-story)..Younger teens will feel comfortable reading this book, there's no sense of discomfort, or overt sexuality, that too many books geared to teens seem to include. Older teens will learn great tips on life, from 100 wise women with varied backgrounds and outlooks on life...This book includes advice from many women from many industries, my favorite was advice on how to look great in a picture, and how to cope with post 9/11, it give girls the inside skinny on life - I used to swallow everything when I was younger, girls today are very sophisticated, and it's nice for them to gain insight into the world, without losing the magic....A great gift idea, and a book for moms and their daughters to bond over.

Summary: One of the Best Books I've Read!
Review: I'm a freshman in highschool and I wish I would have had this book even before middleschool. It is the best, for anything! It teaches you things from confidence and starting a band, to being a good shopper and unclogging a toilet. It has things I didn't even expect. Even the topics I wasn't interested in I read, and it helped me in the future. Its easy to navigate, and not even boring once. I've read the entire thing, and keep it around for a refresher once and a while.

Considering the crisises and pressures today's young women experience (remember Reviving Ophelia?), this book could go a long way in giving girls the tools they need to be confident, successful, happy teens. This positively awesome book is filled with advice from women and girls who have the real scoop on feeling food in your skin, taking care of yourself, surviving socially, conducting your life with grace and elegance, and becoming whomever you most truly aspire to be. Summary: Got a daughter/grand daughter? THIS book is a must!
Review: Where was this book when I was growing up? If your are uncomfortable with yourself, find yourself in awkward situations or just don't know what to do in quasi-emergencies as, I admit, happened to me more than once, Girlwise is the book to go to. Not only is it full of advice on such diverse topics as self confidence to creating your own web site to, my favorite, what to do about a clogged toilet, but it is witty and a great read. Situations are dealt with by not only professionals in the field but by teens themselves.
This grandmother is giving Girlwise to all the girls she knows from preteen (be prepared) up.
