Summary: A Must Read for Teens
Review: I read this book when I was a teenager and it helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life back then. It is something that teens can learn from and see how life truly can be. At 24, I still recommend this book to teens. An excellent read. Deserves ten stars!

Summary: A Frightening Reality
Review: This book had me going from the beginning. My cousin told me about it (she was actually reading it at the time). I got it that day and I didn't put it down. I couldn't! This documentary of gripping reality was a wake-up call to me. It was scary because Alice was a lot like me, middle-class neighborhood, nice friends, good school, etc. It was an eye-opener that I will not soon forget.

Summary: Very truthful, and in your face.
Review: I thought it really explained that this is real, and not just in the movies. It told the truth without candy codeing it. It was a little depressing, but if you don't have a strong soul then you shouldn't read the book.

Summary: This was a quality must read for teenagers!
Review: This story was a sad must read for all teenagers I read it the summer before I entered the 9th grade for a summer reading book. It was the first book I actually enjoyed reading for school. Most of the people in my class who complained about reading it, were glad at the end of the story that they read it! You think that she would be so different because she grew up in a different generation but she is more like the teenagers today than you would think. The only thing that kind of disappointed me is she ended the diary and you dont know what was going on in her life right before she died. Enjoy!

Summary: A must reading for all middle schoolers!
Review: As a teacher, I focus on books that not only interest, and entertain my students, but teach them lessons! This book has caused much controversy in my school district, and we cannot use it as a classroom novel, but I talk about it every year, and encourage my kids to read it. I have NEVER had a student stop reading it, or come back telling me it was boring. They've all said it was the BEST book they ever read. It opens their eyes to the evils of drugs, and what they can lose. With drugs and sex all around our children, why not encourage them to read and be "scared straight!" I allowed my sons to read this book when they were 12 years old, and discussed it with them. It did leave an impression. They were in a parochial school at the time, and one of the teachers (a nun) asked to borrow the book....to read! (I did get a bit nervous....)She applauded me....and the book! Do yourself a favor.......read it.......kids and adults!

Summary: i just want to be the person who says this
Review: this book opened up a whole new world to my perspective on drugs once my uncle bought it for me. I think that this book should be read by adults and teenagers, but definitely not children under the age of 11. Its too harsh of a book for children to read. But, it does teach and I want to say, if you think you are up to reading it, you better read it.

Summary: a teen that tries to live off the streets
Review: Hi All,

omigod...words can't express the way this story made me think about drugs..alchol and other things.

Go Ask Alice is a great story about a - who tries to find life living on the streets..but gets too involved with a bad group of friends that introduce her to drugs.

this story isn't like any other story that i have read...when you are reading this you might get a feel of excitment b/c the character gets happy at times but yet there are also some down points in it too that you almost start crying over what has happened to her...i cried when i got to the end of the story...you just get so involved in his/her life that you just don't want it ever t be over...

i hope that you find this story as good as i liked it...thanks

*Natalie*
