Summary: amazing...definitely 1 of the best
Review: I love this book. I really do...it changed my opinions on life...showed me how life can be so mean at times. The author suffered so much but then, why must she die when it seems that she finally found contentment? She's so young...it gets to me that the author is anonymous and there's practically nothing that tells me about her. Anyone who has more info about her pls contact me. Pls do.

Summary: Very real/Very sad.
Review: Terrifying! A real life diary of a 14 year old girl who becomes innocently mixed up in the drug world and can't escape. I read this knowing I'd hate it and I wasn't disappointed. The disturbing thing about this story, besides the detailed descriptions of how she feels before, during and after drug trips, is the way Alice talks about herself. Her insecurity rules her life, from food to friends to clothes. The childlike tone makes it even worse. I understand why this book was/is so controversial, but I also understand that it was important that it be written.

Summary: A LIFE CHANGING BOOK! UNBELIEVABLE!
Review: I am in total awe of this book! Throughout it I was completely hooked to the character of Alice. It presents a completely different side of drugs from the facts, figures and statistics because it is real! Not just another horror story but a diary of a low esteemed, pretty average teenager and the horryfying consequences as well as the GOOD side of drugs which is so often left out. I've never been able to relate with a character so much even though I have never tried drugs! That is the POWER of this book! It relates to everyone. We can all identify with Alice. A WONDERFUL,POWERFUL BOOK! EVERYONE MUST READ IT!

Summary: Go Ask Alice captures the essence of a teenager by a Diary
Review: Go Ask Alice captures a true portrayal of a young girl's life while struggling through the worst time of her life. Because this novel is true, it makes it all more intense. As she gets caught up in the world of drugs, Alice writes it all out for you to read. Her troubles with drugs, guys, and family are all twisted together in the gripping novel of a young girls life. The reality of this diary is so unbelievable, it's almost like you might know Alice yourself

Summary: Once you pick up the book you wont be able to put it down!
Review: This book tells you about one of the many horrible drug abuse cases in which a depressed teenager was tricked into trying drugs at a party, and was unable to stop. After you read it you will never have the urge to do drugs. I think every teen should read it.

Summary: A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I can't think of one reason not to read Go Ask Alice. The main problem adults have with Go Ask Alice is they are afraid of the book turning their children on to drugs when it really scares them away. When "Alice" starts on drugs, she is very enthusiastic on how great they are, but after about a month she resolves to never do them again. This happens several times in the book until she has one friend left, if even that. Drugs completely screw up her life. She is overdosed one night, goes crazy, and ends up in a hospital. If that isn't bad enough," Alice" is then put in a MENTAL hospital. Once she gets out of the looney bin, "Alice" reforms, goes back to school, and starts a new life. After reading this book, if anyone is still thinking about taking drugs, they might want to read the editor's note., Sadly enough, "Alice" overdoses and dies 3 weeks later. I don't think it really matters whether or not Go Ask Alice is a real journal, or if it was written to scare teens away from drugs it doesn't matter, because there are real life Alices everywhere in the world, and the last thing we need is more.

Summary: Out of all the books I've read this one was truly the best!!
Review: This wonderful and true story really touched me. I can really say that I have actually changed myself because of it. Because of this book, i don't have to learn the consequences of doing drugs on myself, and i will never do drugs. This girl is an everyday girl and it hurts how rude we can be to people. It makes me positevly sick. I recommend this book for all teenagers. I guarantee you WILL benefit from it in some way or another.

Summary: An emotional and touching book.
Review: "Go Ask Alice" is a very dramatic book with a lesson to be learned. Although, i don't quite understand the ending very much, it is sad. If you like life stories, you will like this one. Also read "Sunshine". It is about a 19 year old mother battling cancer, life, and love.
