Summary: Rivitting and extremely true...
Review: This book has turned me on to a whole new genre of literature. I enjoyed this book very much. The whole time I was reading it, I could not put it down. It tells a straight-to-the-point story of a young girl who goes down the wrong path, and does almost nothing to change it. Alice sounds like so many average teens these days. She tries to change numorous times, but is pushed back into doing drugs almost every time. This book is unlike almost every other book I have read. It is very blunt, honest, and true. This is the kind of book kids around 12 and 13 should read, just to get a better grip on reality. I would recommend this to anyone.

Summary: This was an outstanding book
Review: This book was unbelivable. It is a wonderful book for readers of all ages. It really wakes you up to the fact of drug abuse with teenagers. I am 13 and this book made me realize the reality of using drugs. I feel that every teenager should read this book because it is an amazing book that will teach teenagers like myself about using drugs and how it can ruin you life. "Alice" was a young goody girl just like many of us think we are but she started to hang out with the wrong crowd and got into drugs. I've read this book so many times and it really helped me in making decisions about using drugs. Yeah, parent's tell thier children everyday that drugs are bad and that we shouldn't use them. I understood that drugs were bad but this book makes you realize that drugs will ruin your life forever and I recommend this book to people of all ages but especially teenagers.

Summary: Realistic, Meaningful Reflection of life on drugs
Review: Sadly I read this book when I was fourteen, the book was sad and tragic to me but did not stop me from encountering a future fait with drugs. I began using heroin at the fifteen. It caused me great misery and pain and almost destroyed me. With great luck at the age of eighteen I managed to kick the habit and have stayed clean. Unfortunately I will be fighting the cravings for the rest of my life to save my life. I strongly recommend this book for it educational value and it's intensity. Maybe it will help someone.

Summary: As compelling as it was thirty years ago
Review: This book first came out thirty years ago and twenty years ago was when I first read it. Though three decades have passed, the book is still as relevant and compelling as it was then. It's a book that you won't be able to put down and one you will never forget. I give it a very high recommendation!

Summary: A girl on the run.
Review: "~"Go Ask Alice" is a diary that you sadly can't put down. A fifteen year old girl is on the run from an over whelming drug addiction. She can't say no and neither will her friends let her if she wants to be cool. Throughout the diary you can tell when her addiction gets worse as she can't remember dates, times, or names. Her morals take a complete a U turn when it comes to sex, drugs, and family life."~ both grew up and went to college in small towns. Her dad is constantly working and has no time to notice his daughter's strange activities. Alice's mom is a constant nag on her fashion and attitude. When they found the diary, they published it under "anonymous" for the author. in first person so you, really get to kow the characters involved. It opens your eyes to a world that most people think they could never experience if they use drugs. Her first hit was off a dare. Her last was from a year of experience that was dark and scary.

Summary: Yeah, right...
Review: I don't believe a word of this book is true. It's like Jacqueline Sussann ghostwriting Judy Blume. As we follow the narrator's perilous slide into drugs, her recovery, her next perilous slide, her next recovery and so on, I'm left wondering how anyone can believe this ridiculous nonsense. As camp, it's kind of fun, but I'd have to be pretty deep into some wonky religion before I believed that any of these goings-on are even plausible.

Summary: It could happen to you
Review: This is an amazing true story about a girl and her life. She gets involved with drugs and sex. After she started she could not stop until it was to late. This book has opened my eyes more and made me relize what can happen if you use drugs. It has made me see that it can happen to anyone. I think that every teenager and there parents should read this great book.

Summary: Painfully Real
Review: When I read "Go Ask Alice" it kept me up all night. I felt as if I were the one on drugs, that I was the one trying desperately, and failing to please. The book was so real. I lived it, could not put it down, and afterward could not pick it up again. This is one of those books that you only have to read once. It will leave a lasting impression on you.
