Summary: MUST READ!
Review: "Go ask Alice" was such a horrifying story. To knowthat it has and can actually happen is the scariest part of the wholething! It really opened up my eyes and showed me what I was like. You could kind of say me and Alice were related in our problems. It's especially scary when you put it that way! I wish there were girls homes like Mountain Valley Country Home in Oregon when she was young... it would've helped out a lot for her! But anywayz... any teen or parent should defenitly read it. So they both know the teens point of view on things, and how parents could approach them!

Summary: Plainly said
Review: Go Ask Alice is a book that tells the truth plain out. You must be a little bit mature to read this or else you won't get the real point. If you are ready to face reality read this book.

Summary: My Opinion
Review: Go Ask Alice is a great book. It really hit home when I read it, I was amazed at how real it seemed. The book is so captivating that when I started to read it I could not put it down. The way the book is set up it is very easy to read and understand. I must say that this is the best book I have read. I suggest this book for all teens to read; it made me look at how drugs affect the world around us. I think that if all teens would read this book they would never smoke a joint or take a hit of acid. I feel that strongly about this book. The book is a real diary of a girl caught up in a life of drugs, sex, and misfortune. It starts out with everything being normal and then things suddenly take a turn for the worse. Alice is trapped in a world of sins, taking drugs, having sex, and running from home. Alice seeks help from friend who turns out to be the instigator of the problems she is having. Alice tries to return home and her family accepts with open arms. Although her family is helping, Alice turns toward drugs time after time. The ending of the book is totally unpredictable; the end is the only part that I did not appreciate.

Summary: A Diary That All Should Read
Review: Go Ask Alice is a terrific novel, filled to the brim with suspense and excitement. The story describes a normal teenaged young lady who is tricked into trying acid one day. This cruel, inhumane doing is her gateway into a hell, a hell of drugs. She likes her first experience and continues to experiment with various other drugs and winds up addicted, confused, and in many situations that threaten her physical and mental well being.

My mind was shown the experience of using drugs through the young girl's vivid diary entries. At some points this experience seems wonderful and at other points this experience seems horrific.

Over all, I enjoyed the book, except for the ending. At the book's finish, I did not care for the result of the young lady's actions. The whole book was easy to read and difficult to put down. I like how it affected me. This book calms and soothes my curiosity about drugs, as it is very realistic and not over or under exaggerated. On a final note, I'd recommend this book to any young adult interested in what a life on drugs is like, or to anyone else that is starving for a novel that would quench his or her thirst for great writing.

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: This book was like no other especially because it was real and it was about a teen girl who got addicted to drugs and with doing that she ran away and did other unethical things. I think this book teaches you what drugs do to you and that when you start you can't quit and when you want to quit you can't and then you wish you could take it back and wish you never started drugs - the things that you think make your life easier and happier but totally mess up your life in the end and can even cause death. This book made a difference in my life especially because where I live I know alot of drug dealers and after reading this book I will never ever do drugs.

Summary: Feeling a kinship to Alice
Review: I've read this book many times. I thought it was well written and she had a talent for writing. It's too bad she never knew that. I could relate to this young girl as she never really fit in--even in her own family. It must of been devastating to her poarents to read her diary and realized that she wanted to confide in them but they wouldn't listen. I hope this book makes people think twice about giving people drugs without their knowledge. I felt so sorry for her. She never had a chance!

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: Go Ask Alice is based on a true story about a teenager who becomes addicted to drugs. The book is written in diary form, but the author is anonymous. It takes place in the sixties. The story starts off like any other book, with a normal day and a normal family. Like a blink of an eye the main character turns towards drugs, sex, and running away. The first time drugs came into mind was when the main character went to her grandparents for a visit. She was invited to a party, and the kids played a game dealing with bottles of soda. One of the many bottles had a drug in it. It turns out the innocent character had gotten a bottle with the drug inside. This was the start of her whole problem. Many tragedies happen, but what they are I will not say. You have to read the book and find out for yourself. It's a 188 page book of diary entries, and that makes it seem even shorter than it is. The anonymous author was able to connect to me. The character felt like I have in the past. If more teenagers read this book, then they would realize what drugs and sex can do to someone. I'm sure there would be many teenagers turned off of drugs. I for one hate drugs even more. I have seen what could happen to someone. I'm sure other teenagers can relate to the book as well as I have. We all have problems similar to the character. I, for one, enjoyed the book despite the tragedies.

Summary: An Outstanding Book
Review: Go Ask Alice was a wonderful book about a girl who gets into drugs. You learn about her experiences and the sadness of her situation. I read this book three times, and every time was the same as the first; a truely outstanding book.

Summary: really annoying book
Review: I had to read this for school, and I dont believe a single word of this "real diary" The girl is just too clueless but knows too much at the same time. I am a teenager and I know how a teenager thinks. The main proof that this can't be true is that she writes in her diary when she's supposed to be drugged and dellusional. In these parts you see how her morals change but somehow she stays perfectly rational. She doesnt act like a real teenager,or like a real person for that matter.

Summary: A sad interpretation of teenagers
Review: This book "Go Ask Alice" was a very good book! I was impressed by the obviouse and detailed writing. I didn't like how the swearing was used! I know that it was used to give a mood but I think that the mood could have been acheived another way. I wasn't impressed that the book really only described the bad side of teens. Yes, there were afew teens in the book who were not messed up but I beleive that the book could have shown the good side of teens as well as the bad! I gave it a 4 though, because I couldn't put the book down. If a book grabs me so much like this one did, even if it does have some things I don't like, I will not judge it harshly. I would recomend getting parent permission on this book if reading it in a classroom because of some of the rude language and some of the sceens. But I do have to say that I think it is a good book for teens to read. It really makes you questiong what you would do in that position. If you would buckle the way she did or if you would have a solution to the problem. If reading this book to students, a good idea would be to stop and descuiss some other answers to Alices problems. You could talk about what you could do if you found out you had been drinking a spiked drink. Or talk about the ways to stay out of that croud and how to say no. Although this may sound like health class, in health you don't read a story like this, when you do read this, you can actually feel the emotions that the book was describing. This book is powerful and full of dramas! I enjoyed it and would recomend it!
