Summary: I couldn't stop reading it!
Review: "Go Ask Alice" was an awesome book. It talks about a girl who started taking drugs at the age of 15. She had gone to this party and all they were doing were drugs. This is all how things started. Every since then, her life has taken a major turn. She met a new girl and started hanging out with her a lot. They both got into so really bad drugs and this is how Alice became addicted. She isn't the same old Alice that everyone knew anymore. I like reading this book because it was a diary. I think when people write books on just a diary,it's very interesting. It tells Alice's life, day by day. I recommend this book to pretty much everyone. It teaches people what can happen if you do drugs. This book has given me an understanding about what drugs can do to you and it's scary.

Review: Title: Go Ask Alice ISBN: 0-689-81785-1

Author: Anonymous pp: 185___________

Copyright: 1971________ Genre: Diary______

"Oh to be stoned, to have someone tie me off and give me a shot of anything." A true line written in the diary of a young girl who seems to be going through withdrawal. The diary filled with a 15 year old girls life depicts the "wrong path" to go down life. The author, given the name Alice, describes her life in her diary in detail as she goes through her "stages." I would recommend this book to anyone, drug problem victims or not. This book has the power to make the reader realize what drugs do to the body. The fact that the book is a diary of an actual person's life makes it twice as intriguing and suspense filled. Once started I visualized "Alice" writing in her diary, noticing how her penmanship changes during different "stages" or what the diary looks like as she takes it everywhere she goes. This book definitely deserves a five star rating.

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: Go Ask Alice is a very good book for a teenager to read. It tells the youths now about the real dangers about drugs. This book is about a 15 year old girl who gets her drink spiked by her friend and ends up getting addicted to LSD. She ends up getting so addicted that she ends up running away from home and ends up being homeless living in the park. Who can say if this book is a true story or not, but it does tell a very sad story about a young girl who goes through all kinds of hell, due to her stupid misconception of drugs. After she does all her drugs and running away she finally gets tired and ends up missing her mom and eventually ends up back home. The ending was not real but like I said who knows if this book is true or not.

Review: I first read this book while traveling in Europe. Alice was a sweet, got all A's and B's, never break curfue kind of girl. Then, one night she went to this party and there was some sort of drug in the coke she drunk. Anyway, from then on she "experimented" with all sorts of dangourous drugs. She slowy starts depending on them to run her life. She runs away from home, but then returns after a while because she can't support herself. Her family takes her back in, but are so overprotective of her that she runs away again, and there is a lot after that so I won't spoil it for you.

Summary: Go Ask Alice
Review: "After you've had it there isn't even life without drugs..." Alice is a 15 year old girl who has a good life. Sh e gets introduced to drugs and everything goes downhill. This story is set in the sixties, when drugs were everybody's main event. Because the is in diary form you really get a play by play. You know every day what happens, who she's with, what she takes, how she feels and how she deals with it. The book is based on a true story so it makes you feel as though you know her. Kind of like she is someone you see everyday, but don't realize she has a problem. I would recommend this book to people that have problems with drugs. It is also a great book for parents who think or know that their children are on drugs. I think that this book is different from other diary based books because it's a true story. It has ll the detail and truth of a real life situation. The voice of this book changes a lot. It changes from the time before she starts using drugs, to the time after she started using drugs. She starts to cuss and talk a lot more about sex, and changes and you can see it in the way her writing changes throughout the book. I really liked this book. It tells the story of a real life girl that has real life problems. I feel that I know her. She tells her story as I wish I could tell mine.

Summary: Alice Changes Lives
Review: I first read "Go Ask Alice" 10 years (age 15) when an older girl gave her copy to me. It changed me and the way that I saw everything around me. Soon after I passed the book onto someone new. I have purchased a few more copies of it to give away as gifts to younger girls that have crossed my path over the years. Today I am ordering another copy for a 16 year old girl who attempted suicide two weeks ago... I hope it impacts her like it did me.

Summary: One Word: Wow.
Review: I can't believe I just read such an amazing book. It's a book that all teenagers should read. I'm 16 and I'm not one to read a book for fun. I can't lie, this book was for school, but I read it in one day. And I never do that voluntarily. If you're looking for an interesting book to read, I highly recommend "Go Ask Alice."

Review: I loved this book. The truthfuleness and the history of drugs in her life and the diary style entries. I was wandering if anyone could recommend a book similar with the drug history and questioning of oneself, as this did. It is a remarkable story, and I want to read more like it. If anyone knows of a similar novel or an author who writes in this style. Please e-mail me back it is very important. I have to do a report on the kind of books i like to read and this is it. Please write back. email address is: kelli5223@aol.com. Thank you!

Summary: It's All About Chooses
Review: "Go Ask Alice" has got to be one of the best books I have ever read in my life. It shows how a teenager goes through life. Alice, for example, took the "wrong" route. She gets into drugs and sex. This book shows how it totally ruins your life when you get involved in those kind of things. Now, I have done some bad things in my life and after reading this book, I am so glad what I realized I did in the past and how stupid I looked. Now, I am on the "right" route and my life couldn't be better. I will always remember this book and how it made me realize that I need to be careful on my choices. I am very glad that I took the time to read "Go Ask Alice."

Review: Go Ask Alice is an autobiography about a 15 year old girl who has a troublesome life. This anonymous writer tells about her difficult life through two diaries. Very detailed and graphic images of drug use and feelings, she told no one else. This book will get and keep your attention through the struggling life of a little girl who turns into a woman in the end. "Sugar and Spice Everything Nice, Acid and Smack No Way Back". A quote that applies to a life that is ruled by drugs and sex. An exclusive story that everyone should read and enjoy.
